Navy Vexor, does it have a niche?

I've heard the Navy Vexor described as such:

Imagine an 800mm plate Thorax. Now tighten up the CPU and Powergrid a bit and double the dronebay and drone bandwidth. You now have a Navy Vexor.

Being the owner of one... I must agree with this assessment. Still fun to fly with a full slave set though. Smile

Underfit (light blahstahs):
1. Heavy tackler at warp-ins of medium FW plexes. 400+ dps, 60k EHP
2. Frig swarm killer.
3. With nos, can kill neuting ships.

Max DPS:
Blob the f* out of somebody and melt them. Can get it going about 2k m/s. Massive dps once you get there.

That's about it. Otherwise, fly a BC.

As mentioned here, anything based on the Vexor hull, isn't worth the hassle...there are many things that are just plain better. The Ishtar suffered from the nano nerf and has never recovered...not even with the hybrid buff.

Just get a Myrm...a much better and cheaper boat to fly (compared to Ishtar and Navy Vexor).

Well, I agree - mostly. The problem is that the Myrm cant fit in a medium FW plex.

Navy ships are useful in FW because they are a very good upgrade over the T1 variant class that can fit in the appropriate size plex. The pirate faction ships are better, but those are a lot more expensive. So, the VNI is the strongest non-pirate drone boat that can go into a medium plex. It has a heavy tank, good gun DPS and can deploy 4 sentries, which is quite froggy for a medium plex. But outside of FW, its just a blingy lossmail or overkill for level 2 missions.

EDIT: Also, HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT THE VEXOR. PISTOLS AT NOON SIR!

Starting to sound like the boat's niche is FW.

Ah well, guess I have to get rich so I don't feel bad getting it blown up in some way.
