Valerie Valate. Great Comedian, or Greatest Comedian ?

Award winning archaeologist Professor Valerie Valate has long been renowned for her unrivalled talents in numerous scientific fields, as well as her compassion for the less well off in New Eden, exemplified by her charity and missionary work.

Recently, the talented Ms Valate has turned her hand towards comedic writings on the IGS, which have enthralled many users across the cluster.

Many readers have been enthralled by the guides to several aspects of the different major New Eden cultures, their fashion and history.

Other readers have been somewhat less impressed, decrying Dr. Valate's work as "insulting", "stereotypical", or "racist".

Nonetheless, a great number of people have been greatly amused by Ms Valerie's comedy stylings, and she is arguably one of the great comedians on the IGS.

Valerie Valate is the kindest, warmest, most talented comedienne our cluster has ever known. Her wit is exceeded only by her compassion, for which she is the stuff of legend. It is an outrage - AN OUTRAGE - that Quafe has not sponsored an Impetus Late Nite Dinner Roast of this iconic performer. Clearly, the Federation must be destroyed.

I won an award in the New Eden Capsuleer Writing Contest, for example.

And of course, my work with the Arek'Jaalan thing, also won an award.

Frankly, your comedic pieces are hit-and-miss. Unless your pieces have a 100% laughter rate, I can't call you 'the Greatest Comedian'.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Ma'am, your works cause not just giggles, but also attention to rather important problems. And if you can make jokes and talk lightly about serious problems, making them easier to get into and without insulting the participants, that is the real sign of greatness.
