Something I read today in evelopedia about the Matar homeworld is that some Minmatar refer to Matar as "Old Mother"

I don't know if they have a God, I've always imagined the tribes to be animistic, probably even henotheistic. Belief that the ground, the plants, the stars have a spiritual energy kind of thing.

I asked my Sebiestor friend what he believes in or worships.

He said he only trusts in scientific analysis and the power of money.

Thank you for all the replies

I did think of the ship names, but i am a little skittish to start using a nordic pantheon. Perhaps it is adaptable and in some way make it something spiritual with nordic influences.
The canon stuff is quite silent about it, maybe Falcon can add a hint or two. Just saying spiritual invokes a lot of differnt ideas in people, everyone has their own idea as to what that intails..

Odin. Strange but noone mentioned chief of staff.

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

Certainly might not apply to all the tribes, but most likely the animistic view is somewhat similer in most other tribes as well.

That term doesn't appear anywhere in the game or lore, though. Or does it?

No, seems CCP wisely chose not to go so far as invoking that name. Blink OP, come over to Eve Fiction forum, where we lore folk ponder and debate about these theoretical things. For very practical reasons-- no point doing all the work to create a fiction piece, if the basic premise was off.

Gaia Theory from the movie Final Fantasy: Spirits within is something I could adhere to. Especially if we get to shoot giant alien ghosts.
