Skill Trading in New Eden - Feedback
The idea of Skill Trading - which allows to extract skills from one character and sell the skillpoints on the market - was introduced a couple months ago. After going through a lot of feedback and refining the original idea, Skill Trading is planned to be added to New Eden for the February release. Skills, which are prerequisites for other skills your character has, cannot be extracted and skillbooks of skills with 0 skillpoints won't be removed. You can extract skillpoints only if you have more than 5.5 mil skillpoints.

An update on the start of 2016 from CCP Seagull
CP Seagull, Executive Producer for EVE Online, comes with the first video update 2016. CCP Seagull gives us a quick review of the previous release and then talks about features coming over the course of the next few releases. We also hear about player involvement with construction of the first ever Astrahus class citadel, and see several sneak previews of Citadels and the new fighter control mechanics.

Upwell Consortium Signs Transport and Communications Deals with Interbus and Impetus
Representatives of the Upwell Consortium, InterBus and the Impetus corporation announced the signing of comprehensive contracts for transportation and communications technology and services to be provided as part of the Upwell Consortium's Citadel product line. The InterBus deal has the potential to raise serious questions from InterBus's competitors because of InterBus's quasi-governmental status and large presence in the marketplace.

Graphics
Technical details of new Citadel graphics
CCP Darwin reveals that the upcoming Citadels will also use new graphics (at least new to EVE) to improve the feeling of detail when being close up. A shader will add more visual details as you are getting closer, additionally we will use (lightweight) instanced geometry to add visual complexity. If this approach satisfies the requirements, it might get later also added to other large structures and ships.


Launcher
What is the EVE Launcher downloading?
The EVE Launcher can also download patches for the test servers. If the Launcher icon shows a green progress bar, then it is downloading data. If you have already the latest Tranquility updated downloaded, then this means that the launcher is downloading extra data for the test servers. If you don't want this extra download, then just go to the Launcher settings menu and disable the test servers.

How to manage profiles in the new EVE Launcher?

I would suggest waiting to see the cost of extractors. From CCP's point of view, it would make every sense to price them at 900 AUR, which would have a funny impact on the cost of the whole process.
