How often do you completely pack up and set up in a totally different region?

Several times involuuntarily. Lets see:

-I was in Altas when it died, so have to move from Omist (after losing Detorid and Insmorther to PL+Russians) to empire.

-I was in It when it died, had to move from Delve to empire

-I was in NCdot when Goons took Tribute and Vale.

-I was back in NCdot again when that alliance gave up SOV life.

I count it as for involuntary move. Voluntarily it's been like another 8 times, like when I moved from Syndicate to Omist to join atlas for example.

How long have you been based out of your current system or region?

6 months, still haven't unpacked, don't have more than a couple carrier loads with me, learned the lessons of the past lol.

Placid, Cloud Ring, Fade, Lowsec, Vale, Lowsec, Period Basis, Lowsec

I think that is in order and I may have forgotten a short stint or 4 elsewhere.

No plans to leave Khanid, moving is such a monumental faff

Been living in and around Amarr for about 8 years.

I should probably move.

Twice since early 2007. Once to follow my then corp, because I didn't know any better, to the far reaches of Amarr space.

Then back to Gallente space as I tend to fly their ships most of the time and Dodixie is reasonably handy for the odd time I go shopping.

For no really sensible reason, Gallente space just feels 'right' to me.

This is not a signature.

Every time I joined a corp I had to move to follow the corp. I've also moved maybe once a year on my own just to see the different atmosphere of each region.

I'm liking stain so far, so I might actually settle down this time. It has a kinda homey feel.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Interesting...I've considered myself based out of the same system for years, but on the rare occasion I have joined a player corp, I send one ship to their home system (wherever that may be) to see how it goes.

I'm glad I have taken this approach as I usually leave after a couple of weeks due to inactivity within the corp itself. If I am going to run missions, rat and/or explore all alone (silent tear), then I would rather do it in systems where I am familiar with the players and the NPCs.

It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

Well, I've been way too spread out and it has been hurting my gaming experience. No one knows me, I'm always more vulnerable because I'm always going to stations where I have no insta undocks. Moving through systems where I have no safe spots.

I keep on considering going back to providence, because I had a lot of fun there. But Providence is a defensive region. To fit in properly, I would need to let the other guy shoot first in most situations. I used to be totally cool with that, but now I'm fitting up bombers to go hunting with. I'm hoping to sneak up on people and blow them up, and that isn't proper Providence behavior.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

A few times.

#1) From HS to null
#2) Took a 3 month break from the game due to RL stuff, my corp changed alliances. Didn't bother to move, just left my stuff with a clone there and slowly sold it all
#3) Took a break from the new null to try out WH space, ended up loving it and quitting my null corp. As before, too lazy to pack and move, so left a clone and slowly sold everything
#4) Living semi-solo in a WH, was evicted. (no complaints, the folks who kicked me out spent a long time explaining WH life to me after the POS went down. What I learned from them was by far more valuable than the stuff I lost)
#5) Into a newer WH corp, didn't work out for a variety of reasons.
#6) Into my current WH, very happy, no plans of moving again.

I still have stuff scattered around the universe. The six months or so I was screwing around trying to find the right fit in j-space meant a lot of my stuff just ended up in whatever HS was close. I haven't had the need to liquidate yet, but sooner or later I will need to do some hauling to consolidate it.

I don't move. I distort the space fabric around me so that it moves instead of me.
That being said, my toys are spread all over New Eden and Anoikis, so I sort of live in a lot of cozy places.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

When I first started I had an idea of creating a base of operations in each of the major factions in Eve and exploring each of the regions. But when I started industry and PI I got tied down to a location which makes it hard to move.

So I used the extra character slots to create a two man team that can move around to different areas of high and low sec and explore into null and wh's while my main is stuck in his location.

Future plans are to do a stint in FW and operate a base in a low class WH.

While I technically have a 'home base' I am also cursed with an attention span that is directly linked to my blood alcohol content.
As such I tend to wander a bit, and keep several jump clones scattered about empire to help facilitate this.
This results in me accumulating 'treasure piles' in the areas I tend to operate in.
It's nice to have a couple fitted ships a few jumps from anywhere, also it drives my OCD friend crazy whenever he sees my asset list.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Really? Why move so often? Do you have a lot of stuff to move or does it all neatly and nicely fit into one hauler?

It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

Haha. Also, interesting. I have a jump clone in my High Sec base another at my Low Sec base and two more at major trade hubs. But, honestly, my High Sec and Low Sec clones are fairly close to one another (same region).

Once I get my Covert Ops skills up a little higher, I am going to try exploring some WHs and I won't really be tied to a station in Low Sec anymore. Not that I'm really tied there...

By now I think I have at least a dozen bases all over New Eden. I keep planning to set up some stuff in Outer Ring and Thera, but I keep forgetting about it. Solitude is also on my list for a future base, but first I need to reorganize my jump clones a bit, because I'm sure as hell not planning to travel back for 50+ jumps every time I want to visit one of my main bases.

My main basically keeps moving constantly, if I need another ship or something, I tend to wildly hop around using my strategically positioned jump clones.

Sometimes I spend some weeks slowly travelling through New Eden. A couple months ago I wandered around the Drone Regions, for example. Right now I'm somewhere deep in W-Space, making an occasional jump once a week or so, quite relaxing.

On the other hand, my industry-alt moved only a couple times until I found a nice place for her to set up shop and my PI-alts stopped moving at all after I found a good wormhole for them to occupy.

Different characters have done different things over the years.

Had 4 home stations on one character, when I tried to level rep on all 4 factions, had to keep moving from one to another after a few days.

Another time had one home station, nice little system, until I was evicted by CCP by them moving a level 4 agent there.

In general though I tended to work from one home station.

Every staging I have ever used beside one still has ship there because I can't get myself to do a cleanup.

Yes I get mad every time I open my asset window.

I have only actively played for about 7-8 months thus far. In that time I have relocated my "home" once since I wanted to move further away from high traffic areas into a more quiet section of space.

Cuz if you arent all about the Rens you are EVE-FAIL !

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.
