I would like to ask a couple of questions abourt dual boxing.
How hard would it be with one monitor.
What ship combos should one use.
And any suggestions or ideas on the topic would be nice.
Please no trolling. Just want some input and ideas.

I have 6 boxed pvp on the same monitor before, and kicked ass!

It is hard to do if you have to micro manage a lot. 2 isn't bad if you just do a dps dealer and a falcon or something. Sucks to mix up a dps and a logi pilot though :-D

BC wise Drakes are the easiest to dual box and they require little input and have nice range when using HML's. I've done it in the past several times using one Drake as tackle while keeping the other at range and safe to escape in case things go wrong or to trade tackle if the first is taking too much damage.

Secondary set up I've used was a fast frig like a Navy Slicer paired up with a Stealth bomber for dps. You could also of course go with a traditional "solo" ship and just scout with the second alt in a covert ops so you can probe out targets. If you don't care about GF's or giving a fair fight then you could of course use a Falcon as scout/prober/secondary combat ship.

You looking for PVP or PVE?

PVE - Domi and Raven is pretty good for starters.
Set your domi drones to assist the raven. Have the raven as a full resists and buff setup and max dps. for the domi, put shield transporters in the highs for the raven.

There are a bunch of combos that work.

PVP
2 drakes, 2 canes.
Maybe a HAM drake with web and TP and a Tornado for alpha.

Also depends on what your trying to do.

I have 5 accounts. I can muti box incursions with a Loki and a Legion, or I can PVP with a rapier and a cane, or use caps on one and sub caps on another.

More than 2 account on PVP is dificult as every single second counts. and it will take like 10 seconds to get to your third account, unless they are a cloaky scout or something.

One monitor you can do it if you window ur accounts and make them slightly smaller than full screen so you can click between them easily. I have 2 23" monitors and I can run 4 at a time fine. My 5th is a freighter alt.

Cov op/ any thing else, never under estimate the benniez of having the info, nowing you can gank freely, having a warp in/out point, and lastly probing down the runners.
If your main is set for point blank combat or if that suits your taste you will get even more out of the pair up. and as the alt grows you can move in to force recons. And in this regard all races are good choices as well.
Cloaked ships are ez to leave unattended.
Now as for one monitor, window mode, and 2 windows overlapping (i do left/right lay out) make shure their sized in a way as to still be able to see a small amount of the "cov ops" screen , so with a quik mouse over and click its in full view. I would suggest setting the accounts HUD as mirrors of each other so as one is up the others overview is at least partially visible like so.




the (0) is alt with overveiw to left ( . ) is main with overview right (*) is MT space

this way one looking at one the others overveiw can be seen, and with one as a set of eyes you get to know one some thing comes on there grid, also in combat you will see yellow/red boxing.

Something like this could be interesting with the higher damage out put of the new tier 3 BC's. One of my conditions of dual boxing PVP set ups is survivability of the pair or at worst case getting at least one ship out so I don't lose both.

I personally don't like to get in scram range if I don't need too which is why I tend to stay away from HAM Drakes and go with dual nanno/HML Drakes. However with the range the new tier 3 BC's can fire from and still do very nice DPS it might work well using a HAM Drake with a scram to tackle and just gank the hell out of the target fast as possible and be ready for the warp out soon as it dies.

I fly in FW and it gets very blobby very fast.. I have to expect back up support for the target ship with-in 30 to 45 seconds some times meaning there isn't a lot of time to risk being in scram range. In a slower paced environment the HAM Drakes might be a way to go. Perhaps one with Scram & one with long point or maybe as you suggested with 1 HAM drake and one Tornado.
