Hey there. I'm trying to get Eve to run on Debian 8.2 using WINE 1.9.1. I ran " winetricks corefonts d3dx9_36 vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 vcrun2012 vcrun2013" from another thread, but this blue screen persists. Here is the output:

I'd suggest to try installing all of these one by one first.

winetricks corefonts
winetricks d3dx9_36
winetricks vcrun2005

and so on, just to see which one it's failing at. I also do not think you need all of those to run Eve, acutally, but I didn't have to make a new prefix in quite a while, so I am not sure.

Did you override the libraries or just instaled vc runtimes and went away?

PS: the only 3rd party stuff needed is vcrun2013 and optionally corefonts.

Did you havea any luck resolving this? I am having the same issue only I've been playing fine for a while. Got home today and found that the launcher had crashed, and will no longer start. I was so excited to have a working launcher running on wine. Sad

Problem in compatability on GetSecurityDescriptorSacl function

To avoid bad code - run winecfg evelauncher.exe and select Windows version = Windows XP
