Trauma is a ****** missile name, but Mjolnir is cool. Would rather they just left it alone but meh.

.. get it? Naming stuff is insignificant, but arguably there is depth and diversity (some would call it confusion no doubt) in the myriad of missile names available at present. Missiles have names IRL as well - for example there are the Mistral and the Exocet, this would turn them into "MBDA Anti-Aircraft Missile" and "MBDA Anti-Ship Missile".

Next stop? Arbitrator Frigate, Arbitrator Cruiser, Arbitrator Field Command Ship.

I think Mjinor needs to be changed to Thor missiles because Mjilor is the hammer itself.

Re-name heavy assault launchers instead, assault launchers were here first, hence why they're called "Heavy" and not just "Assault".

I think each damage type should be named the most well known name of that damage type.

So....

Arrow EM would probably be Gremlin
Arrow Thermal SHOULD Inferno
Arrow Kinetic SHOULD be Scourge
Arrow Explosive SHOULD be Bane

I am rather nonplussed about this change. Especially 'Trauma'.

The various names give the game flavor; sterilizing them all will only make Eve more bland.

But, since you're going along with this change anyway...

...Please reconsider 'Trauma'.

I was thinking the same thing. I mean, if you're hell-bent on simplifying the names to indicate what damage they do.....how about:

Electromagnetic
Thermal
Kinetic
Explosive

Retain the root words for t2: Rage and Javelin

While you're at it, could you maybe fix the two contradictory and confusing uses of the word "Javelin"? Javelin torps etc. are long range, Javelin rail charges are short range... wha?

While I think this is a great idea, I am a little disappointed that you guys seem to be missing the opportunity to stick it to Caldari missile users a little more. I thought that this was pretty much a CCP goal with every patch?

I'm actually against changing the missile names. It's mainly the ones with lots of similar names and/or have no description at all (AB/MWD/Implants/etc.) that need changing.

and if you insist on changing it ... please keep different base names for short range and long range missiles.
