Why Can't I preview everything?

Something to consider but I may just be selfish wanting to look at cool ships after I've blown them up but.

Why cant we preview any npc ships that we pull up information on?

Also the Customs Office at least they should be treated like all the outpost gates and starbases and be viewable as well.

Also since you are in the drag and drop mood any chance we can have drag and drop targets into the chat window?

NPCs get ships we don't. Allow us to look at the pretty graphics without it shooting us, plz.

It CCP wanted to be REALLY nice, loot drops of BPCs to these ships would be terrific!

This takes months of QA and there is a balance factor to consider not all the pirates have the same number of ships.

However a paint job I wouldnt mind instead.

I've never understood the 'every race gets one of each' balancing stuff. Half the reason we have so many rarely used ships is that there are a zillion ships trying to fill it's role.

CORPSES.

I wish I could preview corpses. I mean sure, there's only two versions to preview but it's still a detailed 3D model in the game to look at.

Would be as useful as previewing cargo containers or drone models but at least it would be consistent.

EDIT:

As for the ships I've always wanted a Rogue Drone Dominix... not one that's any different from a regular Dominix, just the cosmetic difference, like an optional skin. Actually there's a lot of NPC ships that look amazingly cool which I would gladly fly even if it had exactly the same stats as another existing ship.

Unfortunately that would be confusing as hell Sad

I wonder if theyll go out and do all the LCO's while they're at it.

To this category go also the question why I can write "Condor" on chat, highlight it and search for item, allowing me to link it but at the same time I can write "Ibis" (caldari starter frigate) but the search founds no matches. I'm not after us having ability to copypaste names in the database for jove ships but at least make it recognize ships/modules/things that players have access.

And yes, when I have actual Ibis in my hangar, repacked and I drag+drop it to chatbox it links correctly...

Back onto OP's topic. I've often wondered this myself, just never did a thread about it. I view info on a rat's ship and click on the thumbnail hoping for a preview, but nothing :( This is something I noticed and wondered about since the previews were introduced... Just figured I was the only one that cared, lol.
