I liked the Original BC. After they redid the interface i found it more difficult and kind of clunky. I used it much less after that. I never used the ship fit. I used the KB a lot but not in the way most people do. Most people use it to brag about kills. I used it to research people. What do they fly and what do they fit and how can i counter it. I actually got quite fast at using the KB to look up targets. It probably saved me more than a few ships.

I think people put to much emphasis on K/L ratio and who destroys the most isk... it could just be me getting old and more humble. I just shoot stuff, sometimes i win, sometimes stuff wins( but i usually win). The most important thing though is that jita will never run out of ships and ill probably never run out of isk... and thats all that matters, at least to me.

Big part of EVE history is lost by Battleclinic closing.

Lot of older kill mails just vanish to bit heaven.

EVE is dead.

Is there any really working killboard anymore? Do not bother to mention zkill or EVE-kill those do not work.

wow listen to some of you with the trollbait. battleclinic has been around for many years and was fantastic in ensuring almost every kill in the game was logged they even gave us griefwatch which tbh was great. all for fing free!!
also the fittings bit was one of the best parts yiu cant blame BC for some of the fits because it was down to the public to grade the fits and comment accordingly!! fits would then get changed according to the general.view and advice!

however when they did that stupid wtf are you doing upgrade was a massive screw up why they didnt go back i dont know.

hey bc guys give me a shout might be interested in resurrecting it or using the data.

I am saddened because of BC's closure.

Despite what the ever-found haters say, it was a great initiative and for many years it had been a great companion to the EvE community.

I want to thank the Author for his efforts. Efforts that led to such popularity that "terrible fits" were a testament to how much the website had been used. After all the fits were posted by website users not by the Author.

When you get "a lot of XXX", chances are that a portion of that XXX is subpar or outdated.

I got my epic "Baby Vargur" Maelstrom fits from BC and with them I would harvest 3 times as much ISK per hour than before. All it takes is a discerning eye to fetch the proper stuff, not sterile polemics.

I'm with Kaska. Didn't use BC for much besides downloading EVEMon. But it has been around so long that it is one of the sites that comes to mind first when I'm throwing 3rd party site names around.

They didn't say why, I can only assume that it isn't worth it to them anymore. I hope Evemon doesn't go the same way.

The only problem I had with fits is that they needed some kind of dating system to show that a given fit might be obsolete.

So why did Battleclinic "die", exactly? Registering a domain and hosting a site can't be that expensive, surely?

Mmmm indeed , my kills/losses from 2004/2005 will vanish What?.I'll miss it for the ship loadout part of the site mostly , for kills i've been using zkillboard for a long time now.

I went to look for Evemon after a long hiatus and found it on BC. After the download my virus protection deleted the installer and said it was totally unsafe. Is there a safe place to get evemon now?

I'ld say that your anti-virus detected a false positive. Link from BC is still valid. Same link in EVE forums EVEMon thread.
