Hi,

i cant play the game anymore. after 10min the current patch (15mb) made only 0,3% progress. i have this issue nearly every patch. am i the only one having this issue?

i can watch hd videos from video on demand without any problems. i can download for example iso images of ubuntuu really fast, even steam downloads are fast. only eve is slow.... again. this is not the first time. to be honest i wish i shouldnt have extended my subscription.

does anyone else have this problem?

SInce weeks the same problem - no answers if you send a pedition - in the past was mostly the kind of service style excellent but now i'm speakless. The problem is not at our PC's or Software - it is the new law made by EU goverment and that CCP didn't pay the relevant extra part money to the provider to extend the new network for EU.

If CCP didn't goes activ, in my view in some months, no players from EU can play EVE anymore

Great Job - CCP

For people using Deutsche Telekom as ISP, this is a known issue. DT has currently (since quite a few weeks, actually) severe problems accessing parts of Amazon's Cloudfront SDN. That's where game updates and other things are hosted by CCP. It's quite possible that other ISPs have those problems as well.

There are various workarounds which involve determining to which parts of Cloudfront your ISP has a good connection and messing with the DNS (if you use your own DNS, of course) to point the various Eve endpoints (such as res.eveonline.ccpgames.com, binaries.eveonline.com and others). Needless to say, not everybody can do this and it's an ugly workaround. It took me quite a while to tweak my DNS to be able to play the game, it was unplayable before.

The situation is tricky because there is nothing CCP can do (since they don't control the Cloudfront network) and your ISP probably won't really care that some guy can't patch his game.
