  • Fixed an issue where the launcher would not go to the ready state if it started with clients already running, even if no updating was needed.
  • Disable the Verify button if any index fails to load in the shared cache dialog. This prevents the verify process from deleting everything in the cache if this is done in an offline state, for example.

Good Evening - I unfortunately switched between accounts at around 20:00 h CET. The clock now says, its 20:35 h CET and your launcher says : Downloading new version 996833 - it just hopped to 4 %. Another evening lost in New Eden. Is it still the cloudfront thing ? I promise - I run Telekom-Lines flat at 16MB - and they work properly. javascript:insertsmiley('Sad','/Images/Emoticons/ccp_sad.png')

You ought to be able to cancel the launcher update if it is taking too long and retry at a later date. That should allow you to get into the game, assuming the client is up to date.

If downloads are unusually slow I'm afraid it's likely that's an issue with your ISP and their connection to Amazon's CloudFront. If your ISP can't help, it might be worth trying Google DNS (do this at your own risk) - see http://www.howtogeek.com/164981/how-to-switch-to-opendns-or-google-dns-to-speed-up-web-browsing/ for example (or Google it).

Thx for the advice. The update to the new launcher took 3 h and 29 minutes.

Still having problems with this version.

  • The update downloads and asks to install
  • Tell it "Sure! Install and restart!"
  • Updater cmd window pops up
  • Launcher window goes away
  • CMD window goes away
  • evelauncher.exe process shows up in task manager
  • No Update Log found
  • Wait...
  • Wait...
  • Wait...
  • No Launcher Window ever spawns.
  • No CPU usage by launcher process
  • Over several hours Process memory usage drops to a few hundred k


Still reverting the evelauncher.exe to 968307.

Side note: Please tag the File Version and Product Version properties on the evelauncher.exe file. It would make checking versions easier/quicker.
