Orca Boost Bug - Really, read this

First of all, i am sorry for creating another topic about this, the first oneis here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6232361#post6232361

Could not find if this was posted already.

Sometimes, suddenly, my boost stop but the modules still running.

This is happening to me while using the Orca in Hsec (cant say about other ships in other spaces)


Turning it off, then on, seems to solve the problem.

Like one every 20 minutes.

Whats wrong?

This is REALLY annoying.


- It might be related with the peak of players

- It do not happen with rorqual (using for 6 days, no bug noticed)

- 3 hours ago i had like six times in less than one hour

- It's not my connection or pc - happens to a friend of mine in another continent

Had around 10 of this today.


Its happening with some friends too, i see nobody talking about this in forum, whats wrong?

bugs were open during parallax releases
and then 2 weeks or so, a patch for fleet booster being fixed was released

I haven't heard anyone complain about it since this patch so what you are describing is a "bug", yes, but a really situational one.

writing here may make other players react, but if you want CCP to know about it and fix it : open a bug report, in game with F12 when this happens, they will be able to extract the logs and see what's behind it
or open a ticket in the web assistance, there may already be case and a GM will give you an answer

Ok, did it two times already.

Still nothing in "submitted tickets".

Someone do this for me? This alt just do not opens tickets it seems.

Never had a problem to opening new tickets.

I did a bit of orca mining yesterday

the bonuses worked ok for about the 1h30/2h I spent on it (I did fill the about 3-4 times so warping out and having to relaunch the fleet boost each time

I don't do long orca sitting in one place as I don't do fleet with a ore hauler so I can't really be sure your issue is there

as for a ticket it is this url

and you should "sign in" before creating the request (and hit the yellow submit button)

we are also having problems with the boost in our 24/7 mining fleet. so far only thing i have been able to figure out that if you revoke and give the booster back it keeps on working. However it is strange that as we have 2 wing commanders with orcas with similar setups only the wing commander that is set as the boss keeps breaking down, the other one works as it should and the boosts always works out nicely.

I am a 18/7 orca booster while in hsec, the boost crash is actually very common for me, as i told before.

I did already 2 tickets, they keep failing, i even received the code, but did not take a note of them ):

Thats very weird too. I think you dont need to revoke that boost, just turn off the boost cycles and then, turn it on again

This is so annoying, i know more people that have this problem.

People got this bug and dont even notice i think...

Updating this:

Not sure if they already fixed it, but i kept my boost running for some good hours already and no problems happened.

Can say the same for some contacts.

Hope this is already something of the past

Will keep this updated if any problem is observed.

It is definitly not fixed. I had this bug only a few times in the past weeks, but today the boost system is going crazy. (The boosts randomly stop working, although all modules are still running.) I have to turn the boosts off and on again every few minutes to keep it working.

Boosts dropping and them being fixed by restarting modules is because a skill finished training, its been around ever since parallax and the fact they havent fixed it is super amazing cause it seems like it would be a super easy fix.


There is also another boost-loss bug where if you disconnect you might not be able to boost for the wing you were in (if you were wing commander), recreating or moving to another wing fixes this problem.

That reason sounds really weird, but its true. It just happened on my Orca alt.

It also explains why i get this bug so often lately: I injected many new skills in the last weeks.

the bug affect me too.
my orca boost seems to stop every some time. I have to restart module to fix the problem.
I read its about the finish of a skill traning? yes it is?

I can also confirm that the SKILL TRAINING COMPLETE causes the mining boosts to stop functioning. The links are still on, but the boosts do not work. The workaround is to stop and restart the links - but this should be fixed.

Not sure, but I would guess that this would also affect combat boosts.

Wow weird. I was training a very long skill to 5 meanwhile.

Still did not observed nothing related to the skill completed

This just happened to me. One skill come to level 5, and boom, no more boost, even while modules still running.

Is weird, i completed some skills some days before, and got no bug

Cant say if its related to completing lvl 5 skills, or just to complete skill tough
