Tiling and planting.
Tiling and planting.
Tiling and planting.
...
I should repeat that 100 times.

I've been more into laying land mines in the fields. Bad me.

Just waiting for your posts to explode in an explosion of likes then.

Heading home. Had my exit interview this afternoon, in which the HR guy explained when all my current benefits would cease, and what number to call if I have questions. I also found out that of the 15 or so folks that were told last week we were being let go, only about 4 or 5 are still getting cut, including yours truly, the only project lead being cut. One of the guys on my team, though, is being retained, at least for 2 weeks, possibly longer depending on the outcome of some meeting with the client in the next few days. So at least he'll be able to take over where I'm leaving off.

All my after work drinking buddies have plans this evening, class and meetings and stuff, too. What?

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

Good luck coming out the other side Ro.

Hope you find the silver lining quickly and end up better off out of this.

The EFT warrioring phase is done. Today I've assembled my new ship and have made a short maiden trip, gathering experince to check for possible ammendments. Depending on how the testing goes, I may update the fit or just dismiss the project altogether... I'm wading into unknown waters.

I've been through something similar.

Keep your chin up, and all the best.

Time for a nap.

3h sleep if I'm lucky, then back up and off to work again for a staff meeting. #_#

Then home for a few more hours rest before collecting my princess from daycare.

Looking forward to a week off work with her by my side. 💜

D'aww, enjoy your time off. ♥

Way too clean, but ready to jump on an unsuspecting customer.

Edit: Also just realised I typed 'tiling' at silly o'clock this morning instead of 'tilling'. Faceplant.

TIL: airplane wings work mostly because of the Coanda effect and Newton's 3rd law causing the Bernoulli effect under the wing.

I've been an aviation buff since child and yet now I've found out that conventional wisdom on how wings work is wrong...

God morning LAGLers. It's never late to learn something new!

This one? Though I'm not sure it's Johhniy rustled here:

Little Johnny was sitting in class doing math problems when his teacher picked him to answer a question, "Johnny, if there were five birds sitting on a fence and you shot one with your gun, how many would be left?"

"None," replied Johnny, "cause the rest would fly away."

"Well, the answer is four," said the teacher, "but I like the way you're thinking."

Little Johnny says, "I have a question for you. If there were three women eating ice cream cones in a shop, one was licking her cone, the second was biting her cone and the third was sucking her cone, which one is married?"

"Well," said the teacher nervously, "I guess the one sucking the cone."

"No," said Little Johnny, "the one with the wedding ring on her finger, but I like the way you're thinking."
