highlight delete not working ?

Hello people, i'm trying to highlight a part of a mail and delete it but instead it deletes the bottom half of the mail and not what is highlighed !

Any idea why this is happening ??

After much testing, I found the workaround. No empty lines ... for example:

This and
This

versus

This and

This.

No empty carriage returns. Formatting will work correctly as long as there are no empty lines.

If there are any empty lines editing and formatting will be broken.
