Wardec scammed

People worry too much about wardecs. I used to be one of those people. Then I joined a corp that gets wardecced fairly regularly, and to be honest it makes little difference. Even if you don't drop corp there are ways to avoid being easy prey. The worst that can happen is you lose your ship, and you know what they say: don't undock it if you can't afford to lose it.

I start to smell a scam...the contract is 350 mil. I have the ISK, paying off the contract would take 1/2 of my Isk.....so I pay it just to see who took out the contract. He gives me a name, ceo of a mining/indy corp/alliance. I contact this player, sure enough it was a scam, apparently Anaiah Ben-Gurion of Wander Fleet has used this player as a "false client' before, and he has an official complaint going with CCP on the matter. now , if he had come to me and said 'pay me not to kill you' it would have been different, Ive heard of that before. but to use another player like he did was wrong. So, to sum up, Wander Fleet= Wardec scammers, me = wiser player because of it...




Hold on, you are telling me that there is a person in Eve trying to scam people. Dam I better had make a note of this for future reference. Big smileOops

There is an old voodoo magic thingie for corp with tower, tailored for those carebears who just want to go full nope — rondo.
You create several more chars and learn corp management to them.
Then you create corps for all of them.
Got wardecced? Everyone but one insignificant alt is transferred to the sleeping corp, POS deployed on sleeping corp behalf, 50 mil goes down the drain. The only thing you lose is starting fees for the corps plus current jobs running.

Impersonating other players and/or CCP personnel breaks the EULA. In the case of players, the offence is maybe-ban level, in the case of CCP personel it's ALL-ACCOUNTS-CONCORDOKKEN level.

It is not a EULA violation to falsely claim you are acting on the behalf of another player. It is only verboten to claim you are the alt of someone else (or a CCP employee).

Just by folding at the first dec shows that you should not be running a corp

And we're to take you on your word that the good and honourable wander fleet members who haven't hurt a fly are the scammers here? You have provided no proof, just besmirched their good name with wild accusations. I think we need to get to the bottom of this, I'm very suspicious of the OP now.

hey Ragnar, we already had this convo.

I offered you the opportunity to bid on the contract we received for 350 million ISK, you bid 351 million isk, received the contract, the name of the prior holder, and the use of the merc services we provide. (Which you declined saying you'd take care of it yourself.) The name I gave you did hold the previous contract, and was quite satisfied with the level of service rendered.

Wander Fleet is currently recruiting and accepting contracts.

Frowned upon in real life, but as you are finding out, EVE isn't real life.

If you are unwilling to do anything about it, CCP certainly won't

And by do something about it, I mean pay up, blow them up or hire your own mercenaries.

And to the OP: In this game you are allowed to pretty much do anything, besides RMT, Botting, and Scams related to Plex4Good.

So even you could scam other people, and pay to have other people destroyed. It's perfectly legal.

As long as mister wardeccer wasn't impersonating anyone, nothing will come of these petitions. You just fell for a ruse which is completely normal in Eve Online. I've been at war with small fries like this, and the largest merc alliances in hisec. While I admit wardecs might worry an upstart CEO, their combat effectiveness is marginal compared to, say... Eve University, which will actually come down to lowsec and destroy all your assets with a massive fleet. If you cop out at Eve's equivalent of a hischool bully, you are in for a treat when you pick a fight with the entire class. I know it's hard to build a corp from the ground up from personal experience. It was also the most rewarding thing I ever did.

First thing you need to get rid of is the victim attitude. Be a wolf or a lion or a snake... but refuse to be a sheep.
