When will you annonce the winter extension?

The winter patch cycle/expansion will be called "Tranquility". They talked about/announced it at this year's PAX Prime. I've got a summary in my blog, while the original article can be found here.

As CCP Fallout posted here, we are working on the release schedule right now. We will try to get the information out to you as soon as we can; unfortunately, I can't give out an exact date for that.

I know how frustrating can it be to wait, but please be patient in the meantime.

That article originally claimed that winter expansion will be called "Tranquility", but that claim was later removed from the article. My guess is that they mistook main server name "Tranquility" to expansion name, and fixed that when someone notified them of their mistake. Roll

So winter expansion name is not known yet, as far as I know.

I think your question already includes the answer to it. Smile Of course, trolling the forums is against the rules and may result in some not-so-very-nice things, so I would personally advice against that.

All jokes aside, I'm concerned about the discussed "redistribution" of resources and the complete lack of discussion with the community regarding the overall effects this could have. Our hole has had one grav site in well over a month. Any removals would be painful without a suitable enough boost elsewhere. Moving ice out of high sec... you'll be ringing the death bells of many high sec and wormhole pos's if you do that due to the spike ice fuels will experience in cost. Like I've said before, taking the sand out of someone's sandbox won't make them play in someone else's sandbox. They'll just leave their empty box and go home.

Six months in the hole... it changes a man.

So we will get a list of stuff that will be in the expansion 1\2 of it will be incomplete, 1\4 will cause bugs and the last 1\4 will be pushed back. They will make sure the next items work and nothing for most of the eve playerbase that likes FiS.

We are still in the planning stage, so unfortunately I can't give you a firm date on either. As far as the expansion release date is concerned, to the best of my knowledge we are looking at some point after Thanksgiving. Please note that this is not set in stone and may change. As for the release of more information on the expansion, the planning process affects it heavily, so I can't even give an estimate.

I don't see how you can tell the difference anymore. It's common to read stuff posted here by CCP and user and think, oh he's trolling. Than it turns out he/she is serious.

Of course, and I leave the trolling to the pros. Its far more entertaining to watch the banhammer come down on trolls than it is to be the troll.

You are expecting a late November early December release and have no idea or plans for it yet? How do you expect to do quality control, bug fixes and have it ready to go in a 2 month time frame? You can't even fix simple bugs or complete t3 ships.

From what the devs are saying its going to be a rushed expansion with more patches and bugs than actual content. GG CCP!

Winder expansion will be called "Wrath of the Designer Boots" and it will contain (but not be limited to):
- Noble Exchange spinning
- More boots
- More captain quarters
- Overpowered, but frequently offlining hybrid weapons
- Plenty of aurum advertising.

- Eve is real competition with aurum rewards.
- Forum improvements (signature images, only linkable from facebook)
