Launcher won't open

So a few days ago EVE was working fine but on Thursday morning when I tried to open to EVE launcher it would not do anything. I would get a little spinning wheel and then nothing would happen. I tried to run it in Admin mode but that did not help, restarted and tried it both ways again and nothing happened.

I tried the repair tool and then uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but still nothing happened. I was using the beta launcher so I though that might be the problem and so I installed the old launcher but still nothing happened. I am on a brand new computer and I never had this issue before and at this point I don't know what to do or what is wrong with it. If anyone has had this problem before and knows of a way to fix it I would be very grateful.

I have the same problem I think - reported it in a different thread; also started a few days ago. Tried similar workarounds to no avail.

Ok well I managed to fix it. I uninstalled the launcher, though there was still the EVE folder that I could not delete. So I restarted the computer, was then able to delete the file and then re-downloaded the old launcher. I then downloaded the repair tool from here: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/362/repair.exe

After that I placed it inside the EVE folder and ran it. It downloaded all the files that were missing and I was able to play it after I reinstalled the rest of the game. Hope this helps anyone else who might have this problem.
