Hi.

Is there any guide about manufacture of T3 destroyers? I found couple of outdated guides how to produce T3 cruiser hulls and subsystems, but none about T3 destroyers. What skills do I need, what sleeper relict I need to start inventuion etc...

Please help?

The easiest way to find the skills you need for reverse engineering and building T3-destroyers is looking up small hulls -you need those and some data cores for the reverse engineering by the way- and T3-BPCs on contracts. The BPCs tell you what skills you need to build and the small hulls tell you the skills you need to reverse engineer the BPCs.

Then you just have to remember: You can't build T3s in a NPC-station, so you need your own POS to build them. I forgot if you can reverse engineer in a station or if that also only works in a POS. If it doesn't work in a station, you need the experimental lab module for your POS. T3s can be build in a advanced small ship assembly.

Hello,

Do what Own said above me, look at those items and see what skills you need. It will take 3-4 months to be able to build them and another 3 months after that to build all 4 with one character. I highly recommend using at least 3 toons, 2 to build the ships and one to build parts as this is the most efficient way that I know of from using lots of spreadsheets.

Also you have to have a POS to build them, the reverse engineering can only be done at a POS, experimental laboratory.

Hope that helps you get started or to at least know what you need to start it.

I built a number of Svipul last spring and will give you an idea of what is required:

Invention - you will need a small hull section, the Plasma Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Sleeper Encryption skill. For a reasonable outcome I recommend these skills at Level 4 and an optimized attainment decryptor. prerequisite skills will be Science, Mechanics, CPU management and Power Grid management at level 5. Invention can only be done in an Experimental Lab at a POS or a Caldari Outpost in nullsec.

Production: [racial] Starship Engineering 5, Mechanical Engineering 4, Industry 5, Advanced Small Ship Construction 5. The subsystem components can be built but require a bunch more skills - easier to buy them in Jita. Production can only be don in an Advances Small Ship Assembly Array at a POS or an Amarr Outpost in nullsec.

Hope this helps.

Just producing a T3 hull is very easy. If you want to make the BPCs yourself, that also is not hard. But it requires a completely different set of skills, which have been detailed above. If you want to make the materials required to build T3s, well that is a whole different ball of wax.

Stick to production of hulls and invention to start.

Well, many components in T3-construction are weird artefacts salvaged from W-Space, so you can't make all materials required, even if you want to.

I prefer the following method to collect the material:

-Clone jump to your Jita-clone
-Buy what you need, make a courier-contract to where you want it
-Jump back the next day and start building

If you aren't too miserly with the reward on your courier-contract, the stuff will most likely be there already after your jump back.

The best part: As long as you remember to put at least your cost + 25% ganking tax as collateral, you can only win: Either your stuff is ready for building in short order, or you make a nice profit without doing any work.

You can use this method for basically anything related to production, of course. It just works best with T3-production because the materials are rather dense and small. You spend half a billion on materials and you're likely still under 10k m³. This creates nice and easy to pick up courier contracts, which speeds the process up immensely.

From experience I know conventional T2-production can sometimes get into annoying bottlenecks because I wanted to build too many or too large ships and my gigantic contracts have to lie around for a bit until someone with enough free space in his freighter shows up. P

Thank you very much that was really what I needed!

Thank all other chars for input as well ;)
