Hey guys,

I installed the EVE client on my 2011 MBA and was able to improve the FPS from 10-15 to 30-60 on mostly low settings. As I couldn't find settings suggestions in any one place, I thought I would post them here.

In-game settings > Display and graphics

Check Use Multi-threaded OpenGL
Set to Interval immediate
Uncheck Resource cache enabled
Uncheck HDR enabled

In-game settings > General settings

Uncheck Enable window blur (under transparency, this made a big difference)

In ~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online (Shift+CMD+G to get there in Finder), open config with TextEdit, search for [d3dgl]

"DynamicVBO" = “N”
"IndexVBO" = “N”
"FBOBackBuffer" = “N”

This is was found here.

These settings greatly improved the playability of the client on this machine for me, but I'm in no way an expert. If anyone has additional suggestions for Macs near the low end of the system requirements, please share them!

On my late 2012 model Mac Mini use mutli-threaded GPU and I run SMCfanControl to control CPU temp. Helped me out quite a bit when flying logi in large fleet engagements. I also have 16gb of RAM and use resource caching.
