Dramiel fit for combat sites

I am mainly an explorer but to "spice things up" a bit I've been doing a bit of combat sites(anomalies and 1/10-2/10) on the side, for fun. SInce I train for the Cheetah I've been messing around with Minnie(and pirate) ships. I like small ships like frigs the most, not a fan of cruisers.
Been flying a bit with Rifter, Firetail, Breacher, Vigil Fleet Issue(rockets!) but the ship I like the most is Dramiel(that speed!).

[Dramiel]
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

1MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner
Small Shield Booster II
Upgraded Explosive Deflection Amplifier I
Cap Recharger II

200mm Light 'Scout' Autocannon I
200mm Light 'Scout' Autocannon I
Core Probe Launcher I

Small Projectile Metastasis Adjuster I
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I
Small Projectile Metastasis Adjuster I

'Integrated' Warrior x4

EMP S
Fusion S

Any advice how to improve that fit?

With my poor skills I can do all the hi sec Anomalies(altho Dens can be hard) and 1/10 & 2/10. I struggle a bit with destroyer npcs as they can hit very hard either when I lose the speed for a moment or there is few of them.

I also will be able to use T2 weapons in 3 days. How is the T2 projectile ammo in pve? Barrage fallof bonus looks very nice but it seems to have lower damage than T1 ammo and that horrible tracking pen :/

PVE-wise on Dramiel think of barrage as a lazy ammo. It's got less damage, but you may start to fire sooner, not to mention that almost always anything will be in your range when you'll try to go for dens, refugees and hideaways. Tracking penalty wouldn't matter even without bonuses, but dram nullifies penalty by it's bonus tracking completely.
Oh, and since you are flying not the most cheap hull with laughable insurance already you might as well use both SoE probe launcher AND probes.

PvE in a............................... Dramiel?

While I'm personally having a very deep, loving, rewarding and expensive PvP love affair with the chariot of Angels, the concept of using one for hisec PvE blows my mind.

How many hisec sites just to pay the hull cost?

But, whatever floats your boat.

Perhaps drop the Nano for a power core and upgrade to a medium shield extender? Can you live without the cap charger and run a Web in there? You shouldn't be running into cap issues, look at a mono-propellant AB instead? (Or a few levels of Fuel Conservation) I'm assuming you're tailoring your resists for the rats.

At the very least, you could spring for faction ammo.

Why does it blow your mind? :P As I said, I'm doing it just for fun. I earn my isk through exploration :) As I love exploration, doing one thing over and over again may become tedious, so i do some hi sec pve on the side.

Medium shield extender? Or do you mean medium shield booster? Either way I wont be able to fit either. Power grid is not the problem, CPU is. I have to use processor overclocking rig to fit probe launcher :(

Web for pve? Havent thought about that! Assumed its a pvp module but I guess that could help with dealing damage to fast npcs?

And yes, I use the explosive deflection amplifier as I fight Angels and they seem to deal mostly explosive damage. Originally wanted to use kinetic deflection amplifier(instead of cap booster) along with explosive one, but cannot fit both becouse of the CPU problem.

Actually, if you use the Dramiel in lowsec and do DED 2/10, 3/10, and maybe even 4/10 sites you could make it back. Just ran a 3/10, got a deadspace module worth around 15 mill. This can add up, though.

Also, as another question, could the Cynabal be viable in PVE as well?

After some experimenting I finally found a fit that seems to work best for me. I took the advise of fitting the medium shield extender(altho it was only possible after I realized that I can keep my probe launcher offline and turn it on as needed).

Thank you for the advice! MSE really makes a diference. It gives a very nice buffer for those situations when I mess up my speed/sig tanking or trigger too much waves unintentioally ;P

I also have access to T2 weapons and ammo now. I have to say, I was a bit sceptic about the T2 projectile ammo becouse of the lower damage and the tracking penalty. But after testing the ammo I absolutelly love it.

The damage diference is quite small, and the tracking pen is not as bad either. But the falloff buff on Barrage is absolutelly amazing. As on paper dps may be lower than T1 ammo, I am actually clearing the rats faster as I can hit them reliably from much longer distances. This also has positive side effect on survivalability as I can keep high speed/traversal better. Hail is also quite nice when dealing with cruisers.

So this is the fit I ended up with:

[Dramiel]
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

1MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner
Small Shield Booster II
Medium Azeotropic Restrained Shield Extender
Cap Recharger II

200mm AutoCannon II
200mm AutoCannon II
Core Probe Launcher I (offline)

Small Projectile Burst Aerator I
Small Ancillary Current Router I
Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints I

'Integrated' Warrior x4

Barrage S
Hail S
EMP S

As Dramiel may not be the best/optimal choice for hi sec combat sites, its definately a lot of fun, for a frigate lover like me at least :P
