I am sure this has been discussed numerous times but I didn't find a recent post on it.

The other day I was going to enter lo-sec and I checked the map for each system for kills and then pilot count. The first lo-sec numbered just 3 pilots in system and no kills in the last hour so I felt it was safe.

When I entered the system there were SEVEN bad guys camping at the gate and 5 more elsewhere. I get pod'ed and then of course some doof needed to kill my pod.

My point is: the data on the map was incorrect. How often does the map info get updated? More importantly, why have a map function that so many rely upon and allow it to be inaccurate??? The inaccuracy defeats the purpose of having that information at all!!!

I stayed near the gate and refreshed the data for 1/2 hour and it remained WRONG. {I sat there and warned people through local.}

CCP, you know I am a big fan but why have this flaw? I lost a ship because I relied on the map. This was the first time I realized that number of pilots in system was not reliable. You owe me 60m isk. Blink

Was this a bad post or something? {All kids move on and do not reply stupid comments}

Usually I get some replies in some manner. Is this an old problem that will not be fixed? The delay on map stats updates, I mean.

Does this section of the forum get ignored?
