What is the going rate for removing a high sec death star? Also, who would even take such a contract?

Two things:

1: I wonder what's inside?
2: Was he trying to leave an EM resist hole?

So did Holy get forum-banned?

Because it looks like this is one of his forum alts.

As for the OP.......

Most good hisec merc groups will charge you a billion to wardec the corp/alliance that controls that deathstar.

If the dec fee is very high they may require you to cover the wardec fee as well.

Do your research, tho, many mercs don't do tower takedowns, mostly for the very good reason is that it is boring s hell.

Break-A-Wish, Marmite, and PIRAT seem to be pretty good at dropping POS's, you may want to talk to them.

And on an unrelated note, am sad that Tora chickened out of the Great Duel.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

You want to know what immorality in EVE Online looks like? Look no further than Ripard "Jester" Teg.

I am pretty ignorant of what goes on in high sec. So this post was my research into who would be willing and able to do this. If the owner managed to bring most of those guns online, and he controlled them, he could likely volley guardians off. High sec death stars are pretty OP since you cant dread bash them.

PIRAT does seem promising lead tho, thanks. Russians are just stubborn enough to do it. lol.

Marmite apparently only does offline POS, they were the first I looked up. Break a wish, does not seem to do POSes.

and yes it is sad that Tora chickened out. would have been good entertainment

Vendetta is definitely your best bet for pos removal hands down in my opinion. Khromius and some of his alliance mates really have it down to an art from what I saw in being FA with them. However, it isn't a cheap service, it requires a lot of coordination and time. You need practically half a dozen well fit marauders to do the equivalent dps of a dread. Also it just isn't about the pos itself, but people that may defend it. A fleet on the field and a pos is far more dangerous than just the pos itself. Just because it is some alt corp doesn't mean it doesn't belong to someone rich or in a powerful alliance. So the cost will also depend not only on the pos, but that factor as well. So have your wallet open wide, but you can expect swift and superb results from VMG.

That's arrogant old Jerry Peptidge for you.

Have chatted to them about one once - the price was indeed considerable. Didn't use their service so can't comment on the effectiveness.
