Long story short:

Submitted a ticket regarding a question about escalations, on 15th December.

Got a reply on the 20th (only checked today, d'oh!) from GM Spider, not only answering my question but crediting my account with 5 days game time because of the tardiness of the reply. He even apologised for the delay. Very sweet (wo)man!

Just wanted to say that it is all too easy to jump on the flame bandwagon from time to time (God knows that it is such a temptation sometimes, and Bumble is not excluded from this Oops), but if we're patient and assume good faith, sometimes magical things can happen!

Thank you CCP!

One of the things I like about this game is the customer service. Yea, they might take a while, but I always get the impression that my account matters. Some games even if I have a paying account, they treat me like I'm playing for free and refer me to community help. That always annoys me.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

They did the same on one of my accounts to the tune of 9 days for a tardy reply. Was worth more than the request I was making. And yes Ive always had a decent reply time and responses from all the GMs Ive ever had to petition about things in the 12 years of playing this game. My ex gf was a GM for several other games and gave me a lot of insight into the workings of GMs. 90% of it isnt being a ******** ass about your ticket and being patient as they are human beings with a very heavy workload a lot of the time.

I have always loved CCPs customer service in that regard. This type of response imo was way over the top even for them. Big smile

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

It would appear to be one or the other considering the thread still isn't locked.

It's obviously complementary - nowhere have I posted anything specific (quotes, etc.) nor anything more than the vaguest of outlines.

I once had a buggy mission objective and had written a support ticket at 2:30 on a sunday morning and went to bed. They replied 10 minutes later and suggested to try a few things, but I was already asleep. So, in the morning at 11:00 I tried thier suggestion, it didn't work, I wrote back. They replied 10 minutes later. This went back and forth until it was solved two hours later. Replies never took longer than 10 minutes! On a sunday!

All my tickets in the last 5 years have been dealt with within minutes or hours and the experience with customer support has been a very pleasant one.

I also like the way CCP communicates with their playerbase.

It is good that things (recently, perhaps) seem to have been improving, and maybe our collective anecdotal stories illustrate that. Certainly, in the recent past,I had a couple of petitions sitting there in the queue that just expired simply because no one could be bothered to look at them.

I've never had a problem getting queries responded to. Maybe because of my TZ. Then again I've only made 3 or 4 tickets in 6 years of playing which may help as well.
