*** CTRL-Q - Gallente FW - Low Sec PvP - New Player Friendly ***

Ctrl Q is an established FW corp which came into existence on January 10th 2009. We are new player friendly and are happy to take players who have never experienced low sec PvP or Faction Warfare before. Experienced players are of course more than welcome too and will fit in, right at home with our veterans.

CTRL-Q is part of the Spaceship Bebop alliance, a long standing and respected member of the Gallente Militia. CTRL-Q is predominately a European Corps specialising in small gang low sec PvP in Faction Warfare. Our peak time is around 1800-2400 Eve time and we speak English. Whilst we are prepared to take pilots from other time zones, unless you prefer solo play, you are probably better off seeking another corp that operates in your time zone.

Our main base is in the low sec system of Vlillirier, 11 jumps from Jita (beware – Gallente Militia are KOS to the faction navy in Jita). However, you are advised to base out of our Forward Operations Base, 3 jumps away at Enaluri. A well-stocked local market exists in Vlillirier. The nearest Gallente high sec market hub is 10 jumps away in Dodixie. Be aware that gate camps are rift in the GalMil warzone and if you have limited experience of travelling about low sec, please ask for advice in reaching us.

You will be expected to be self-sufficient. Fortunately FW generates a lucrative revenue stream and even low skilled Frigate pilots can earn decent Isk running FW plexes.

We operate a NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It) policy and you can expect your security status to suffer while with us.

You will die! You will die a lot while with us and probably get podded a few times to boot. But you will learn an enormous amount about small gang and solo PvP too. We will teach you how to fit your ship properly, along with techniques and tactics to minimise your losses and maximise your kills. Note that we don't formally train new players, you will be expected to be proactive, asking questions and trying new fits. We have great FCs and fleets will be available most nights of the week, including Corp, Alliance and general Militia fleets. We constantly experiment with new fits and fleet comps and it is common to be jumping in and out of different ships to counter different threats as they arise during the course of one evening. In the main you will find yourself in Cruisers and below. But BCs and BSs are quite common too, although not compulsory. Occasionally our fights escalate to involve caps.

Ship replacement program - only logistics ships are replaced by the alliance. All other losses are self-funded. However, given the revenue stream available from FW, no pilot struggles with this aspect. It is merely a question of how much 'bling' you can afford to lose.

Our main activities
• Killing the Caldari
• Killing anyone else not blue to us.
• Solo play, usually dessies and frigates
• Small gang play - our pilots will often band together in ad-hoc informal gangs, 3-8 in size and roam or support each other while plexing / hunting WTs
• Small-Medium gang play, frigate, dessies, cruisers, sometime BCs.
• We take any fight we think we have at least a 50% chance of winning.
• We fight outnumbered where we think we have a good chance of at least taking a fair number of the enemy with us.
• We gank any chance we can, solo WTs and neutrals, miners, freighters in low sec, not blue, dead, good job.
• FW Plexes as a means to find PvP and to earn LP to fund ourselves.

What we do when we are bored, usually with the secondary aim to find PvP
• Ratting
• Low sec anomalies and complexes
• Gate camping
• FW I-Hub and POS bashes
• FW Missions

What we don't generally engage in.
• Wormhole space
• Null Sec roams – but people are free to join public roams
• High Sec suicide ganking/can baiting/general griefing
• High Sec wars, although FW engagements occasionally take place there.
• Docking games
• Mining
• Regular carebear missions
• Incursions

Doing PI, manufacture, booster production, T2 Invention and market trading as a sideline is welcome.

What we need from you:

1. EU Timezone
2. Commitment - minimum 2 night per week. For the first 4 weeks you will be expected to make 10 kills a week. This is not hard in our target rich environment. All it really takes is for you to get online and in fleet. Our FCs will put the targets in front of you. I average around 50 kills a week (at the time of writing).
3. SP - you should be able to fly Frigates, Dessies and Cruisers (at least level IV) in your chosen race with the relevant T2 small weapons and at least level IV medium weapons plus decent support skills to fit them properly.
4. Working microphone and TeamSpeak3

FAQ

Q. You've sold me, what do I do now?
A. Apply to join the corp stating you have read this advert and comply with the requirements or a good reason why we should consider you if you don't. Supply a limited API key showing Skills, wallet transactions and contracts history. Please make this an Account wide API. We may EMail you with some clarification questions or ask to speak with you ingame. We will accept your app or mail you a response within 48 hours, although in the majority of cases it will likely be within 24.

Be aware that when you accept the invite and join CTRL-Q, you will instantly become KOS (Kill on Sight) to Amarr and Caldari Navies - ie You will be attacked in their high sec. If you have a lot of gear to move from high sec to Vlillirier, move it to Gallente space BEFORE you join, ideally to Orvolle (or use an Alt to move your stuff).

Buy your first couple of ships and fittings off the local Vlillirier market, while finding your feet. Then use an alt to buy your supplies and set up private courier contracts from Orvolle. We have several pilots within the alliance, who have Jump Freighter alts and will accept courier contracts with collateral. You might want to set your medical clone to a close high sec station before you accept, just in case the worst happens on the way in. Move your medical clone to Vlillirier IV Moon 13 Wiyrkomi Corporation Warehouse once you arrive.

Q. Does my character have to be Gallente to join?
A. No.

So that is the official stuff out of the way, now here is how this advert differs from any other advert you will see.

We don't bump this thread with just the word "Bump" or some such nonsence, we actually use this thread to blog about our exploits. What you see is what you get, no hidding losing fights or blingy losses. You get to read what we actually do.

But first a little bit of potted history, because this advert is a reserrection of an older advert from our time in the Minmatar militia...

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=269163

...and some nod to our earlier activities is warrented.

CTRL-Q rose to prominance in the Minmatar Militia when it formed the now famous 'Iron Oxide' alliance with 'The Flowing Penguins' and 'Angry Mustellid'. The name Iron Oxide became feared among the Amarr, we were the alliance to beat, we were at the forefront of every campaign. In time a training corp was added, 'Oxide Nation', then a two player corp which brought a Titan with them.

The Titan changed everything, while it gave us options it also destroyed our small gang style of play we were famed for. We went for bigger fish and allied ourselves with pirate corps that could provide the bigger targets. Some expensive losses resulted, arguments began about the direction we were going. In came to a head when Angry Mustellid pulled out of the alliance and went their own way. Shortly after that a falling out within the two player Titan corp led to betrayal and the Titan dying to a hot drop.

The Amarr sensed the weakness within Iron Oxide and launched a campaign to retake our home system of Arzad, at the time it was the largest campaign that had ever be undertaking in the Militia and lasted for almost 5 weeks.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3110416

Eventually, the Amarr took the system but only because of 24 hour TZ coverage and they lost hundreds of ships during the campaign. Afterwards Iron Oxide evacuated to the system of Huola, the fortress system of the Minmatar Militia. The defeat reunited and reinvigorate the alliance and once again we were recognised as one of the best small gang groups in the militia. Once again we led from the front and dominated the Militia campaigns in the months that followed. We reorganised and folded Oxide Nation and The Flowing Penguins into CTRL-Q, so close to each other now, it made no sense to operate in 3 different corps.

A little over a year later, the Amarr reorganised and came after us again, this time with the intention of destroying the entire Minmatar militia in our fortress system. In what become the largest and most famous campaign the Militias have ever seen, Burn Huola kicked off in July of 2014. It lasted some three weeks but suffered ten times more ship kills than the Arzad campaign.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4852164
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4802072 (after one week)

It ended with the Minmatar victorious this time and Iron Oxide was singled out by the Amarr leadership as the alliance that had broken the back to the Amarr assault, the Yin to their Yan as one Amarr leader put it.

But as the Arzad loss had invigorated us, the Huola win ultimately ruined us. In the aftermath of Burn Huola the Minmatar Warzone because a very sad and empty place to be. Corps and alliances on both sides fail cascaded or left the Militia to try something fresh and new.

The Iron Oxide alliance was disbanded, CTRL-Q quit militia as a Corps to go pirate, around half our pilots left corp or quit game. I personally left to experience Wormhole life and then quit game for 10 months. CTRL-Q went into a tailspin and braced for impact.

However, one of the strengths of CTRL-Q is that it is never about one pilot, one FC, there is a depth of independent thinking talent and always someone else willing to step up. Despite some big name losses, a solid management team remained to lead the Corps and it survived.

Now we are back, this time in Gallente Militia and looking to regain our place as the top PvP Corp in FW. Join us. Be part of the revival.

To be continued...

Dear Diary...

Feb 24th 2015. That's it! I'm done with this game. Skynet f*ggotory has ruined this game for small gang play and the Jump Fatigue changes are way too harsh.

Jun 2015. Summer is here, started taking long walks again, forgotten how much I enjoyed them.

Aug 2015. Replaced shed roof, would never have done that if I was still in Eve.

Oct 3rd 2015. Son got married, great party.

Nov 2015. Spent most of month on holiday in Vietnam, superb trip.

Dec 2015. Checked killboards, Zen Guerrilla got two Titan kills. Damn you Zen! Resubbed to Eve.

16/17th December 2015

I resubbed to Eve on 16th December 2015 and rejoined CTRL-Q.

First task was to sort myself out. I went through my fitted ships and had to refit Confessors, Svipuls, Guardians and Ishtars. Joined various channels and forums, plus the Miltia TS. New skills for the Gallente and Caldari T3 Dessies, the T2 Logistic Frigates and Command Destroyers.

My last base was only 2 jumps from CTRL-Qs HQ system and had a decent core of ships plus a load of blingy ships from my WH en-devours. However, the main bulk of my gear was still in Huola, in my Carrier/JF alts hanger. I'd moved the JF and one load of gear over before leaving game but the Carrier was seemingly stranded needed 7 jumps and seemingly hours of Jump Fatigue cool down. I had some small bases scattered about low sec and some blingy ships such as dead space fit Machariels (Incursions), Paladins (WH anomalies) and Rattlesnakes sat in Amarr. Finally a load of Amarr Faction ships waiting in Jita for the market to turn favorable (which it now had).

My active pod had a set of mid-grade Halos plugged in. They had to go while I re-learnt how to play.

Next day Dev was running a scheduled fleet from Vlillirier, typical of him it was something exotic, RR Confessors. I hadn't moved my ships yet and didn't have an RR Confessor, but I flew over and he loaned me one. Successful roam, around 12 in fleet and I got on 17 or 18 kills with no loss, although several friendly Confessors did go down in the final fight. We won the field but not sure whether we won the Isk war. Enjoyable first roam.

Dec 19th 2015

I need to move my ships from Eha to Vlillirier. I have my alt with his JF in station, but his Archon is 7 (jump drive) jumps away in Huola. The effort of bringing that over is just too much for me. I have around 50 fitted ships which include a Crane and a Rhea in Eha and a bunch of packaged ships and mods. I decided to do it the slow boat way, Jump the JF over with most of the mods and all the packaged ships, then use the Crane to ferry the rest of the mods. Finally slow boat about 41 fitted ships, two at a time using my neutral alt to scout in one of the cheaper ships.

It proves remarkably easy and then towards the end I'm moving a Broadsword when I come across a Thanatos and 'friends' on the Oicx gate in Vlillirier. I crap myself to be honest and flee back into Oicx and dock up, but then viewing the scene on my cloaked alt, realise the Thanatos is being ganked down. But I'm not sure if all the other ships are ganking him down or there is a fleet of defenders there. There is no obvious fleet or comms channel to join.

I pod back to Vlillirier on Trant and pick up my trusted Breacher, return and wh*re on the kill. The Thanatos dies and I get off field before I become a target. But I return a little while later to loot what is left of the field after the other combatants have left. There is nothing of value in the Carrier wreak, but a load of abandoned drones and several smaller ship wreaks still with decent loot left, so I'm shipping the loot back and forth to station and make about 6 runs. Then a neutral Cynabal jumps through the gate and blows my Breacher away. I wasn't flashy and nor was he, so I didn't think he would take the sec hit for a T1 frigate. B*stard! So first loss since I've been back, worth around 13M, but must have scoped 30 or 40M of loot before that happened.

Later that night I'm running a plex in Vlillirier and a neutral Punisher comes in. I kill it easy to my delight. Trant is back! My first solo kill since my return and a surprisingly expensive one at 32M mainly down to T2 rigs.

Dec 20th 2015

Bengal Bob is online when I log on. He is in a fast locking Svipul. A fit he calls C*ckbags. I jump in my Breacher and go join him. He is hunting a Wartarget Svipul that he has spotted with a cloaky alt. Eventually we track it down and kill it, but I'm disappointed with my contribution to the kill, a mere 15% damage. So I fit up a C*ckbag Svipul and return to him now in the Akidagi area. We have a fun night and I make another 14 kills.

Dec 23rd 2015

After a couple days off I log on and run a novice plex in Vlill, a neutral Atron comes in and I kill it with my Breacher. Bengal and Emokiller are both in C*ckbag Svipuls in the Akidagi area, I change ships and join them and get on another 6 kills including a Myrmidon and a Brutix, but both kills cost me a Svipul. The first by getting too close to the Myrm and getting webbed and scrammed down. The second by stupidly not bouncing fast enough and dying to gate guns. I end the night as I begin in a novice plex with my Breacher and kill another Punisher.

Dec 26th 2015

Spend the day on and off moving my Archon from Huola with a load of T2 and Faction Cruisers and Frigates, including several HACs, 2 Guardians and a Scimitar.

Dec 27th 2015

Another solo kill in a novice plex with my Breacher this time a Tristan. I had been suspicious that the Breacher had been nerfed to the point of being useless, but no I can still fly them effectively. Four solo kills so far with it and all without boosts or implants.

Dec 28th 2015

And it continues with another solo Tristan kill. Then into C*ckbag Svipuls to join Emokiller and Viscora and another 6 kills are netted.

Dec 29th 2015

Again the night starts with a plex and another solo kill with my Breacher this time another Breacher, but then things go bad. A Wartarget Dramiel comes in and I decide to take him on. He is fast though and catches me, webs and scrams me down. Then to make matters worse I burn out my missiles. I call for help and Emokiller responds, but he is four jumps away. No chance I think, but Emokiller comes running over in a Comet and to my amazement I'm able to tank the Dramiel for several minutes. However, just as Emokiller arrives the last of my ASB charges runs out and I pop. I'm thinking I've just fed Emokiller to the wolf, but moments later he reports the Dramiel down and I have top damage thanks to my drones that had kept plugging away thoughtout the incident.

A fitted up another Breacher and get in another plex. A WT Svipul comes in and I bale, then call for Emokiller, he arrives in system and I go back in expecting to get to range and be able to hold him. He catches me before I can get off the warp in and this time my ASBs can't tank the damage. Again Emokiller arrives just as I pop and once again he kills the WT. Turns out the guy had an Scram/AB Brawler fit and if I hadn't baled the first time I may have been able to kill him from range and to be frank I shouldn't have been caught on the warp in either. Two quality solo kills I've thrown away, although I did get the loots from all four wreaks which more than compensated for two lost Breachers.

I fitted up another Breacher and would you believe another WT Dramiel arrives. This time I think I know what to do, but still call for Emo. He arrives but so does a WT Daredevil and Sentinel. A third Breacher loss but Emo gets out ok.

Happy New Year.

Jan 1st 2016

Began at 2am with a solo fight in Vlillirier plex, once again I failed on the warp in and got caught by a WT brawling Hookbill, losing a Breacher. Maybe I should just go to bed after the new year's eve celebration?

About 20 hours later I was back and joined a militia fleet being run by GUIYNAN of Spiritus Draconis a well known FC of the GalMil. Form up point was in Hallanen which is a bit inconvenient when you are based in Vlillirier. Although only 4 jumps, I've found that the pipe is often camped and I end up having to go the long way around, 8 jumps via Eha and Pavanakka. So far I've yet to lose anything to these gate camps but it is starting to irritate, to the point that I had started a Corp forum thread suggesting a Corp relocation.

Once again I had to abort the short route and take the long one and of course the risk meant that I took a Stiletto rather than the official comp. Hoping to be of use, without being an easy gank on the way over. GUIYNAN however sold me a brawling Svipul when I arrived and I was quite amazed how much tank it had once we had boosts running.

A large gang of goons in Muninns were about, I'm talking 40 or 50 of them with Logi. We had 18 in fleet, mostly Svipuls but also with Logi. We couldn't take them on, but we did follow for a bit and ganked down a straggler (206M). We moved on and eventually killed another 5 Cruisers and a Dragoon before calling it.

Jan 2nd 2016

After the fleet broke up I went and fetched my Breacher and decided to have a look around the Nennamaila area where I seemed to be getting most of my small gang kills before logging for the night. I decided to run a series of novice plexes, one each in the systems of Hallanen, Hikkoken and Nennamaila. I killed an Executioner in the Hikkoken one, then a Condor in the Nennamaila one. Thumbs up to this area.

Twelve hours later I relogged and joined Bengal and Emokiller in C*ckbag Svipuls and what a superb day we had. I made another 30 kills with the Svipul including an Omen Navy Issue, Hawk, Manticore, Thorax and a Bestower. The latter dropped 7 Executioners and I sent my alt into high sec to buy another Bestower in order to loot them.

However, the best was yet to come. The call went out in militia that another Thanatos had been tackled in Vlillirier. We dashed back joined the new fleet and I switched into a neuting Armageddon. In hindsight the neuts were a waste of time, he never capped out before he died, but I still managed 6th top damage through the Garde IIs. I came back in a Svipul and looted a ton of drones, next I returned in a Bestower and picked up 4 fighters and a load of Oxygen Isotopes. Finally I returned in a Salvaging ship and cleared the wreaks. I don't know what the rest of the fleet were doing, nobody else seemed to bother until right at the end and then someone was whinging at me for clearing everything away.

Jan 3rd 2016

Lost a Breacher to Dramiel. Going to have to stop trying to take them on. Been believing that I could have killed that first one if I hadn't burned out my missiles, but if I had of done it was because he was a bad pilot, not because it was a reasonable match up.

Got back in the now favourite C*ckbags Svipul and with Bengal and Kabalum made 14 kills.

One of the strengths of CTRL-Q is that there is no one pilot, no one FC, there is a depth of independent thinking talent and always someone else willing to step up. But it can also be our biggest weakness, trying to get a decision on something is a nightmare. I had posted a suggestion that we move further down the pipe towards Akidagi where we seemed to be getting most of our kills and in doing so aleviete the gate camping problem that exists in said pipe. Five days into the forum discussion and we are still no closer to a result.

S5family (the CEO) has just granted me Director rank. So I'm looking at the assets to see where we stand. I note we have a corp office in Nennamaila with 2 Guardians in it. The office bill is due in 6 days and is 172M. We also have an office in Hallanen with a single Augoror in it. On it's own an Augoror is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. The bill for this office is 11.8M due in 10 days, even that bill is excessive giving what we have in the office. The Nennamaila office rent is clearly out of hand and has to go, but I decide to close down both offices and open one in Enaluri where the rent is only 0.58M per month (and falling).

Part of the reason for doing this is that I want the two Guardian to stay visible, not disapear into my hanger the day after I get granted Directorship. I could have moved them to Hallanen and left that office open, but when I jump into them I find both fits are broken and can't online one of the cap transfers. I wasn't that keen to solo two Guardians across two systems of hostile low sec warzone just to end up with two broken Guardians and a chocolate fireguard in an overpriced office. So I went for the Enaluri office (1 jump), shut down the Hallanen one too and moved the chocolate fireguard to Enaluri too.

However, Enaluri is the system I've been championing on the forums as the place we should move to. I'm nervous that people are going to see ulterior motives in my actions. So I post my reasoning on the forums and send out a corp mail. That should keep everyone happy I think.

I log on to find a reply to my Office mail from S5family. He has reopened the Hallanen office and gives some reasons which frankly don't add up. I know S5 and he isn't the sort of guy to take offense at my actions but he is the sort of guy to act 'diplomatically' to head off trouble from the other directors. I get it, even I realised it could be taken the wrong way, so feeling suitably chastised, I offer to fly the Guards and the chocolate fireguard back to Hallanen and presently do this.

Upon returning to Enaluri to pick up my Breacher, I found a WT Tristan running a plex there. Soon he was a dead WT Tristan. I moved my Breacher over to Akidagi and ran a single novice plex. But what a plex that was. I'd hardly got in than a WT Astero arrived, I caught him at the warp in and kited him. But could I kill him? Armor reps were easily holding the damage, I was wondering how much paste he would carry and whether he had two reppers to cover the reload gap. Then a friendly Punisher arrived (without me asking for help). He did not fair well and went down as I watched from long point range. After the Punisher died the Astero's drones came onto me, they weren't overwhelming but I was having to use my ASB every now and again. Eventually I would run out of charges, long before he ran out of paste and that was assuming he had an ancillary repper which turned out wrong. Eventually I asked for help in corp chat. Nobody responded initially so I shouted again. This time S5family answered and told me he was on his way, I knew he was only a couple of jumps out in Hallanen, but he took ages to get over. Then just before he arrived, 3 friendly militia pilots from Never Surrender turned up in a Dramiel, Cruor and Comet. The Asterio went down, 372M loss and 185M dropped (2 Deadspace reppers, Deadspace AB, Faction Neut). I caught and killed the pod then when I turned around the wreak was empty, cheeky b*astards, but then who am I to complain and afterall I would have never killed the thing on my own.

S5family turned up at that point and then went back home empty. I went back to running the plex. A neutral Condor came in, he was kity fit and we started trading light missiles with me holding off using the ASBs as long as possible, to con him into thinking he had a chance. In the middle of this a neutral Worm came in. I just managed to finish off the Condor and then reset and tackled the Worm before he closed to scram range. The three Never Surrender pilots came back, the Worm slungshot his way out and just escaped. I had a lot of heat and some armor damage and was now low on ASB charges, but stayed in the plex and finally completed it. That was enough for one night.

Jan 5th 2016

Dev is running a fleet. His RR Confessors again, on the way to the form up in Vlillirier I note two WT Algos running a small plex in Aldranette. I tell the guys and rush back in an Algos of my own, viscora follows in a Succubus and Siold Otsada in a Tormentor. Others follow, but they are two slow, when I arrive at the plex only one Algos is inside, viscora and I kill it, the second returns just as Siold Otsada arrive and together we murder it too. Two kills with price tags of 33M and 38M on account of their T2 rigs, but they were really sh*t fits. I would definitely have been able to solo both of them, especially given that they were split.

The roam started, only about 6 in fleet but we got a great fight against a bunch of frigates with logi support with us utilizing a command destroyer to separate out a portion of the herd and then kill them piecemeal as the rest of them burned in. Shortly after that we jumped into a large plex and fell for a trap by Royal Pirates losing 2 or 3 Confessors including mine and the Command ship. Grrrr.

We reshipped into the same and set off again. Stumbled into another trap and lost another couple of Confessors before we baled. Dev was a bit down after and he called it at that point. Isk efficiency of the roam was bad, but it was still a fun roam, I'm glad we did it.

Jan 7th 2016

Another night of C*ckbag Svipuls mostly on the high sec gate in Akidagi. Myself, Emokiller, viscora and Dreaded Vengance. 24 kills I clocked up by the end of the day and a load more I missed because I was just too slow locking the targets, I seemed to be suffering a lot of lag. It was a really relaxing day like fishing as Dreaded put it. We had 2 or 3 neutral scouts out that we were double boxing and could see everything coming that was a threat and got off the gate until they passed. We jumped into Caldari owned high sec Ichoriya at one point to gank down a WT Cormorant that had come to the gate but refused to jump in.

On another occassion I was dragging loot back to Enaluri and noted a WT Tristan running a plex. Out came the Breacher, only this time a quick but surprisingly difficult fight. The Tristan was shield tanked, I couldn't believe it when my first missile salvo hit and only took off about 15% of his shields, I could see he had a prop mod and long point, he didn't have enough mids for shield tank and suspected hull rigs. Meanwhile his drones were hitting really hard. My ASBs couldn't cope, the damage was dipping into armor between reps and I had to start the second ASB before the first one was empty. There was no way I would survive the reload cycle, but then the last of his shield was removed and armor and hull dropped like a stone.

I have to say I feel somewhat guilty about what we did on the Ichoriya gate. I'm not really into gate camping and I don't like preying on noobs. Most of our kills were from Brave Newbies. But I will say one thing in our defense. Faction Warfare comes with a very big penalty, station lockout! I know what it is like to be driven out of our home system (Arzad). Not to mention the desperate campaign we fought to hold onto Huola, only to lose it to farmers later. So to me basing out of a high sec station while in FW is bad form in my books. Not illegal, but don't complain when you have trouble getting into low.

Here comes another one...

...and damn it's fun.

Was late getting on and joined Emokiller and a bunch of others in Akidagi in C*ckbag Svipuls, got on 5 kills then ez caper convo'd me from deepest null (Stain region I think) ez had been in CTRL-Q when I left but had moved on since. He is a really enthusiastic guy, who will FC or target call and take on other roles as needed. In short a real asset to his Corp and one of my targets to get back. He lives in Croatia I think and had flown over to UK in 2014 for the CTRL-Q weekend meetup and was a really nice bear of a guy in RL. Unfortunately, he was happy in his new Corp and wasn't interested in moving back to Q atm.

After a break which took me into the early hours of the next day, I returned and decided to move Trant (in a Breacher) and my Alt back to Vlillirier with a view to making a JF jump back to Enaluri with a load of mods, charges and spare hulls.

As I jumped into Aldranette, I noticed a couple of neutral frigates landing on the gate behind me. One WT in Aldranette, I decided to go via the novice plex and check it out. I warped my alt in a cloaky Anathema at 100, while Trant went at 10. When I landed I found a Gallente Militia Malediction on gate with a neutral Malediction and they didn't seem to be fighting each other. Wary of being AWOXed I activated the gate, but as I entered I saw the neutral Frigates landing behind me. A quick check on my alt's screen and they were a Condor, Merlin and Incursus and they followed me in. The two Maledictions warped off.

I landed in the plex, selected the sun and warped to it, but they landed and followed again. So clearly they were paying attention and hunting me. I bounced to a Safespot and while in warp I checked their employment histories. They were all in the same corp and all were about a year old. So they ought to be competent in frigates. All the same I started to consider taking the fight for my first 1 v multiple since I got back. Their group composition decided it for me, I was guessing the Condor would be long point and MWD and the others would be AB/Scram/Web. So I needed to take care of the Condor as a priority and then I could dictate range.

I returned to the Novice and entered, hoping they would spot me again. Sure enough the Condor came on short scan then landed outside of the plex. A quick glance at my alt's screen and he activated the gate. Still nothing else on short, they clearly thought they were still hunting me and were going to let him get point before warping to the plex.

I launched my drones, loaded EM missiles and started the MWD. The Condor landed and I targetted him, started orbiting, another check of short scan and still nothing. He fired first and took the sec hit, then I engaged and pointed him. As suspected he had a long point and a MWD, the first hit told me he was buffer shield tanked. Perfect! Short scan again and this time the Incursus and Merlin were on it. On my alt I saw the Incursus land about 15 seconds ahead of the Merlin and both activated on contact.

I was about three quarters into the Condor's shield when the Incursus landed, this was the dangerous moment! I set my orbit around the Incursus, risking that I might lose the Condor, but he didn't try to burn away and in short order he popped. The Merlin still hadn't landed and as I had EM missiles loaded I decided to wait and take him next. He landed within 8000m of me, I immediately switched orbit at 15Km to him, pointed and fired.

I took a sec hit! Really! Come on CCP, this is b*llocks! I'm undergoing an unprovoked attack by 3 players in one of my Gallente Militia plexes and I take the sec hit!

The Incursus baled, he didn't even try and gifted me the Merlin, sure enough the Merlin was AB/Scram/Web. He did manage to get his web activated on me as I burned to kite range, but not the scram and I was able to pull out to range and then it was all over for him.

The Condor had put me into about half shield, but I hadn't activated my ASBs, nor did I overheat anything, so no permanent damage that needed repairing. 6M of loot scooped, nice end to the night, please come again.

Jan 9th 2016

Started off jumping my JF from Vlillirier to Enulari with a shed load of stuff so that I now had a proper base in Enulari. Then did a few local Novice plexes in my Breacher. First in Nennamaila and Killed a WT Tristan, ran another plex in Hikkoken, then jumped into Hallanen and found I'd jumped into a Snuffbox gang of Absolutions with reps, about 30 of them. I warped to a tactical to observe and realised they had just been in a fight. There were loads of mostly Hurricane wreaks on field, plus loads of drones.

I reshipped into my fast locking Svipul mainly because of the 430m cargo hold and went back. Eventually Snuffbox jumped out and I warped down to the wreak field and started looting. Most of the good loot was gone but I did pick up over 35 T2 drones worth around 50M and later got 30M of T2 Salvage. Some friendlies joined me in the looting and then a pirate Tristan warped in right on top of me. I thought he was attacking me, but it turned out he had a warp core stab fitted and he was just warping to wreaks, snatching the loot and running. Well he made a big mistake warping down to a fast locking Arty Svipul. I locked him almost immediately and hit him twice before he could align out. Someone else got final blow, but I had 79% of the damage.

I joined Emokiller and Bengal in Akidagi and we camped the hi sec gate again. But for some reason frigate after frigate was slipping through our camp. I did get on one WT Merlin and then we killed a neutral Iteron V. It dropped 5 Imicus frigates and 9 Command Centers for PI. My alt still had a Bestower in Ichoriya so I brought that in and scooped the loot.

Took a long break and came back in the early hours. Nobody in corp online but I wasn't ready to bin it. I decided to do the Svipul thing solo, it was easy to do it as part of a gang. The real test was doing it solo and after all I was leet! Easily as leet as that Bengal fellow.

First customer was a WT Merlin and podded too. 32 Kill marks on my Svipul now. Next came a Nereus going out, but it landed short and I engaged. Like a noob I sat there and let it slow boat up to me, apply scram and web and then drop his drones on me. I'd forgotten that Nereus' could do that, even though I'd done the same tactic myself and still had one fitted up in Huola. Damn you Pippan.

So I podded back to Enulura and fitted up a new Svipul. I decided I needed to get straight back on the horse and prove that I really was leet when solo. So returned to the Ichoriya gate and found a pirate Merlin sat on it. Fortunately I wasn't flashy, so I didn't think he would dare engage me. I was still debating whether I should engage him. At that point a WT Merlin jumped in, this I did engage and podded to boot. A pirate Worm landed on me and both he and the pirate Merlin engaged. I aligned out and targeted the Merlin, he was taking gate guns and I attempted to fire. The warp disruptor showed as activated on him, but my guns wouldn't fire. I tried several time to fire them but nothing then realized my screen had locked up. All except the damage indicator as it climbed through shield, armor and hull. I selected a celestial and started spamming warp. The damage climbed to 100% hull and then nothing. I just sat there for about 10 seconds with nothing happening, then Aura told me "Warp Drive Activated" and I actually thought my ship had survived. Another 15 seconds, then my ship exploded and I found myself in a pod on the other side of the system. Incidentally, I'd jumped back into my mid-grade Halo pod a few days earlier, so it could have been a lot worse.

I rebooted my machine and reset the router before coming back, I wasn't going to end on a loss like that. I had to buy two new Svipuls in high sec and ship them in with my alt, then I was back on the Ichoriya gate again. This time I got it right and killed 3 WTs, a Tormentor, Thrasher and Kestrel, podding all three pilots before binning it for the night. Not a great night, but that's Eve for you.

10th Jan 2016

Came on fairly late and joined the guys on the now obvious gate in C*ckbag Svipuls. However, we returned to Enaluri to take part in a battle involving several BCs belonging to Nuclear Shadow. They had warped to a large plex and several members of The Unchained Club, a french corp in the Gallente Militia who lived in Enaluri pulled out the heavy stuff. There weren't that many of them and we weren't sure whether we could handle the BC gang as we warped in, but it turned out to be a Turkey shoot. A friendly Harbinger went down in exchange for 5 BCs, a Navy Vexor, 2 frigates and 2 pods.

We returned to Akidagi and took down several more ship including a 2.1B Crane kill. 700M dropped, most of which had been scooped by the time I had bounced and returned, but two Drone Control Units remained, 4000 m2 and worth 70M each. I brought my alt from Ichoriya in a Bestower to pick it up. But despite posting in local that he was friendly, a Gallente Militia pilot on the gate engaged in a Dramiel and got destroyed by gate guns. Lol. So 140M scooped there, another 50M scooped from the Enaluri battlefield and then while randomly clearing wreaks that had been destroyed by others and left unlooted, I discovered I'd scooped 160M worth of stuff mainly in the form of a faction Scrambler, faction Disruptor, some rare clothing and 2 expensive skill books. So more than covered my losses from the previous night and got on 14 kills to boot.

Mon 11th Jan 2016

Got on early and moved straight to the Ichoriya gate in Akidaga with a C*ckbag Svipul. I was on my own to start with but I was gradually joined by Dreaded Vengeance, Emokiller, viscora and Helene Fidard. The forum thread was starting to pay off and several people were moving larger reships into Enaluri now and this gave us the freedom to have a much looser, roaming type night.

At one point a WT Caracal jumped in, a dangerous opponant for an untanked Svipul, we scattered. A couple of us fetched larger ships but he went to a safe in Akidagi. vicsora brought his scanning alt over and we caught and ganked it down.

There was also a couple of random militia guys with us on and off during the night including one in a Sleipnir. At one point most of us were off gate chasing a WT. Four cruisers (3 Caracals and a Vexor) from ATONEMENT arrived on the Ichoriya gate and attempted to gank down the Sleipnir. We rushed over and slaughtered them.

At another point we trapped a WT Thorax in Aivonen. viscora brought his scanning alt over and found it, but the Thorax warped to station in a blind panic before he could be pointed. He couldn't dock in that system, so I warped to the station and landed close to him, far too close for comfort actually and I was fearful he would scram and gank me down before I could pull range. But he was slow to react, allowed me to point him and MWD'd out to an orbit of 16 Kms. The guys were landing and it was clearly all over for him, I got greedy and shut down my MWD purely for the purpose of lowering my transversal to maximise my damage. He suddenly pounced towards me, scrammed me and took me down, just seconds before he died. I sacrificed an 85M isk Svipul to hero tackle a 25M isk Thorax, doh!

I returned in another Svipul to the Ichoriya gate, the guys were still scattered, some were reshipping and some were trying to catch a couple of targets that had passed through. With my alt I saw a WT frigate gang landing on the other side. I yelled for help, but it was a minute or so out. I knew I should get off the gate, but I really wanted a decent fight. A shuttle jumped in first, I don't know if that was just random or actually meant to bait me into getting aggressed. Well I popped it, then a Cyno Probe that followed, then the gang of about 6 jumped in and attacked. I took down two, then friendlies arrived and we took down another two, then I popped. I always seem to lose Svipuls in pairs.

The WT fleet was wiped out, but I think they won the Isk war and were clearly buoyed up by that result. In short order they were reforming on the high sec gate, now about 8 strong with a couple of dessies and at least one Faction frigate. I didn't have a spare Svipul fitted up and besides I wanted to brawl, so went back in a Rocket fitted Hawk.

Another great fight was had with the WTs getting wiped out again, but still winning the isk war. This time Dreaded lost his Svipul. I got on six Kills plus two pods and thought I'd done really well, but pouring over the KMs later, my contribution wasn't as great as I'd thought. Only a Slicer I got top damage on and only one final blow (not counting the pods) with less than 2% of the damage. Nonetheless a great end to the night.

Although I stayed on my alts for another hour or so, to move 2 Carrier loads of fitted ships from Vlillirier to Enaluri.

Tues 12 Jan 2016

Dreaded was running a scheduled roam, the theme was Retributions with T2 logi frigates. He asked me to be one of the logi and gave me a Deacon. I didn't have a fit for it, someone suggested it was the same as an Inquisitor. However, that wasn't true, it had one more low and one less rig. As we were in a rush, I put it together as an Inquisitor and fortunately didn't need the PG rig. I just slung a Capacitor Power Relay II in the extra low, but really I need to EFT a fit properly. I did post my fit, but of the other two pilots Kabalum made up his own fit and Viscora came in the Gallente version, a Thalia. We had about 12 in fleet.

So we started off, it was a bit of a scrappy roam, we picked off individual ships here and there, eventually about 15 kills were made. We had problems with people DCing. Waffles a pirate alliance had a largish gang of Thoraxes + logi out with the Frenchies in a similar gang trying to engage them. We tried to get involved in that, but we weren't in comms with our Militia allies and Waffles weren't interested in taking the fight with them. We should have stayed well clear, but instead we attempted to provide the fast tackle and/or gank down a straggler. Instead we found ourselves kicking a fight off and then realising our allies hadn't followed us. Bale was called but we lost Kabalum's Deacon, then Emokiller DC'd and came back right in the middle of it and lost a Stiletto.

We returned to Vlillirier while the two pilots reshipped then set off again heading towards Tama, we found a 15-20 strong WT Frigate/Dessie gang with logi support and decided to take the fight. It started off well, with both sides trying to kill the other's logi. Our's was holding well, Kabalum was targetted first and he was held up easily, next was me without issue, then they turned on viscora and we just couldn't hold him. I'm not sure why, but have a horrible feeling it was a range issue. Things have changed since I last did logi, once there was a finite range on your reppers, but now there is optimal and fallout ranges. You can appear to be repping someone right out to your targetting range and having virtually no effect. I never actually checked the range, we had been ordered to zero on the gate uncertain whether they would take the fight and we might have to jump through. But I never attempted to burn to range after the fight kicked off and we didn't have a dedicated anchor.

Once viscora had gone, Kabalum followed, bale was called but I was tackled along with a Retribution and Algos and all three of us went down too.

That ended the roam, but several pilots stayed on, some to camp the Akidagi hi sec gate. I did some recon, details of which I'll leave for now. Then I heard viscora talking about lighting a cyno in Vlillirier to jump in his JF, Dreaded wanted to use the same cyno and I joined them to jump my Archon back for another load of fitted ships.

In the process of relocating Trant back to Vlillirier I sighted a WT gang of SBs heading towards the NW side of the Warzone. Someone pointed out that the Caldari were about to flip Alparena, so several of us decided to go over and interfer. I took a Garmur, the first time I'd been in one since I've been back and I had a blast.

When I arrived a friendly gang were engaging 3 Pirate Smartbombing BS on a plex gate and I joined this gang. A curse had been helping the enemy but had just gone down, there was also a WT Cynabal and Cormorant warping in and out trying to snipe people off. Eventually we killed a Typhoon and a Megathrone, plus the Cormorant. The third BS somehow warped out mid fight.

A large WT gang was in the Novice, they were about 20-25 strong, our gang was showing as about 15, but some of them were scouts or just not there. Most of our gang were in T2 Frigates or T3 Dessies, so very few of us could actually go into the Novice and thus blueballed the fight. In short order the novice closed and both gangs waited for the next plex to spawn with the system on 98% contested. A medium opened up and I warped to 10, the whole wartarget gang had already landed and were activating, I went in with them along with Helene Fidard in a Malediction and I think crimsonshank in a Dramiel. But the rest of the friendly fleet landed late and decided not to enter. Inside the plex the three of us that had entered got off the warp in and then ran rings around the WTs. They were mostly in Tristans but had a Griffin and 5 Bursts with them. We tried repeatedly to peck off the Griffin and anyone that came out of the pack, but the Bursts managed to keep them up. However, their FC was clearly concerned and got them into a tight ball. Then they got greedy and divided their fleet to try and run the small at the same time, leaving about 15 in the medium including the Griffin and 3 Bursts. When the next NPC cruiser spawned some distance away, the whole ball went after it, leaving the warp in open. We called in the rest of the fleet which included the Confessors of Dreaded and viscora, a great punch up was had and we killed the Griffin and two bursts before the rest of their fleet came back. After that we pulled range and did drive bys picking off several more ships until eventually the whole fleet warped out and left system.

I was well chuffed with my Garmur performance and had proved to myself that I still have some leet kiting skills. Then some piwats came in and killed me. *!%^**£$t&.

Wed 13th Jan 2016 (1900 hrs onwards)

Started the evening in my trusted Breacher and decided to take on a Kestrel in a Small plex in Enaluri. Once again I got caught on the warp in, every time since I've been back and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I suspect lag, but not sure. Anyway, I'm still reasonable confident of the outcome with 2 Medium ASBs, but then his friend in a Thrasher arrives and I go down. First engagement after the Garmur loss, I'm not a happy bunny.

Time to explain the secret squirrel stuff mentioned in the last post. We have effectively moved into Enaluri, but Dreaded Vengance had this plan to put up a small POS in Akidagi (which has no station) to hold a few reships for the gate camp to give us some options. So I'd done a scout of the moons expecting to find several empty ones. However, every single one had a POS. Quite a few were offline though, including 3 smalls, 2 Caldari and 1 Amarr. The latter was owned by one of the corps of Templis CALSF a well known Caldari Militia alliance. The other two were owned by small unknown neutral corps. We decided we were going to bash one down and scheduled an op for Sunday afternoon.

The sensible plan seemed to be to go for one of the neutral POSs and I carried out a more detailed scout of them and set up some bookmarks. In the process I saw that one had a Silo and a Giant Secure Cargo Container next to the tower. Modules that are anchored inside the bubble can be killed when the bubble is down without having to kill the tower, while Cargo containers can't actually be anchored inside the bubble. So I switched into an Omen Navy Issue and killed the Silo, then brought my alt in on his Crane and scooped the Cargo container. 6 more kills in my C*ockbag Svipul rounded the night off.

Fri 15th Jan 2016
Rather boring evening of C*ockbag Svipuls, 12 kills.

Sat 16th Jan 2016
Only on briefly, but a really fun pair of fights with a Caldari Militia pilot in a Cormorant. He was running a plex in Enaluri and I went in flying my usual kiting Breacher, once again I got caught on the warp in and absolutely murdered. I podded back to station and fitted up a new Breacher, only this time I went for a rocket fit, AB Breacher with a regular Medium Shield Booster (not ASB), web, TD and scram. I also put my alt in a boosting Loki, the first time I've run with boosts (other than fleets), as I was pretty sure he was doing the same thing as there was another Loki on scan in system. Sadly he left system when I reached the plex, I attempted to follow but failed to find him.

However, a little over an hour later he is back in the same Enaluri plex and I go in. I warp my alt to a safe cloaked, then uncloak him and start the boosts running just as I land. Once again he catches me on the warp in, but this time I want to be in his face. I set a tight orbit with AB on, TD (tracking script), web, scram and my shield booster going, but still he is hitting me hard and the Shield booster is struggling. His damage is rising very slowly, which pretty much confirms to me he is boosted. Then he suddenly stops firing, I assume to reload or switch ammo, I stop my shield booster and nearly die when he starts firing again and puts me into half armor before I can get the shield booster going again. Ever so slowly his damage rises into armor and then structure as my Shield booster catches the damage, but then starts to run very low on cap. He finally pops but gets the pod out and posts GF in local. I return GF with a little guilt that I didn't post GF on my own loss. But that wasn't a GF, it was a murder. I had the shakes after the fight, it has been a long time since I got them. One of the most satisfying fights since I got back, I'd trade a Carrier kill where I was number 34 on the KM for one of these fights any day of the week.

Sun 17th Jan 2016

The POS bash is scheduled for 1230, I'm online early checking that nothing has changed with the Akidagi POSs and still considering which POS to go for. The talk on the Corp Forum had been about ships to use, Oracles was the preferred ship, but viscora was pushing a Polarised Blaster Hecate fit which could do 894 DPS and I'd fitted one up in readiness, but was leaning towards my Oracle which could manage 1107 DPS. There was a general worry that we wouldn't get that many people online for the shoot and that was affecting the choice of target as we wouldn't have the people to take a fight. Initially, we had ruled out the Templis CALSF POS, as there were just too many people in that alliance. But it was the only Amarr POS and that was a much better target for Oracles and Hecates (void), I had a look at their Killboard and they were poor. I decided to suggest to Dreaded that we take their POS on. He comes online and the first thing he tells us is that he has decided on the Templis CALSF POS.

Only 8 of us online, we undock in 5 Oracles, 2 Stealth Bombers and (later) a Vexor Navy Issue. The five Oracles jump into Akidagi, on the gate is a neutral Executioner, non flashy. We assume he wouldn't engage, but Dreaded is a -10 and gets tackled, then a neutral non flashy Succubus lands and joins in. The rest of us are unable to help, the tracking of our large guns would cause very little damage and to attempt would just get us killed by the gate guns. Dreaded can't get back to the gate in time and goes down. So bad start to the op, but I loan Dreaded my Hecate and we eventually get to the POS. It takes about an hour and pops with myself getting top damage, but Dreaded in the Hecate isn't so far behind and he had an anti frigate option, so may well switch to that for future POS bashes. From an economical point of view, I'd used Conflag crystals worth 237K each and they had taken around 70% damage during the shoot, so a calculated cost of 1.32M, the Hecate had fired around 200K of void.

I bring my alt in with the new POS and discover I have to launch it from the ship, but I can't fly a Crane and my alt can't launch it for the corp. I drop the stuff into a container and send my alt back to Ichoriya where I have a Bestower, this I bring back and swap ships with Trant, scoop the good and launch the tower, anchor it, fuel and stront it, online it. Then a couple of more runs to bring in the mods. Dread is taking the mickey out of me, calling me OCD because I want the POS modules lined up neatly and uniformly. When we are finished people start bringing a few ships in, Dread brings in a Jackdaw and the POS kills him. Why he slow boated outside the shield I don't know. So we are pouring over the settings and can't work out what is wrong with them. viscora comes online (having forgotten about the POS shoot - yeah right!). He is the POS expert but he can't work it out either, we try several different combinations eventually turning all the aggressive settings off and it still keeps shooting me and Dread whenever we step outside the shield. It allows viscora to live and our alts who are in neutral corps, but it really doesn't like me or Dread. We think it is something to do with some neutral kills we had made shortly after putting the POS up. viscora decides it should fix itself after DT tomorrow. In the meantime we name it "The B*stard" and resolve not to land outside the shield.

...A great day is had, largely down to the options that the POS brings us. Although it starts off bad for me when I lose a Svipul to a combination of bad luck and indecision. I'm on the Ichoriya gate when I see a large neutral gang land on the otherside. Now Trant is only -3.5 and I wasn't flashy at that point, so he can jump into hi sec. But I thought I had time and decide to bounce to a tactical in Akidagi. I click warp and my ship spins and starts aligning, then just at the second it should go to warp, a single Hawk that had jumped in tackles me. He webs and scrams me, no problem I'll jump to hi sec I think, except in aligning I'd drifted off the gate by 4000m. The neutral gang jumps in and kill me before I can get back.

Other than that loss, I get on 32 kills, including some expensive ones. T2 and faction frigates, several Cruisers, a Hyperion, SB and hauler. I'm a loot wh*re, did I mention? I was hauling loot off the gate repeatedly, easily covered my loss. Couple of chases to other system, couple of plex fights, three times I jumped into high sec to cheekily kill a WT that had gone out though us and thought he was safe. First time was a Griffin which I did solo, next I tried to catch a Hookbill, but he held cloak and I had to warp out as the Caldari Navy spawned on me. The third time, Dreaded and Emokiller accompanied me and we took down another Hookbill and I scooped the loot on the way back.

The night ended and everyone logged, but I spent another hour shipping stuff in from Hi sec on my alt, mostly frigates that I'd looted from Hauler kills over the last fortnight, but also a bunch of Svipuls that I'd spotted going cheap in Ichoriya and had cleaned out the market. Trant was scouting and during this I noticed a WT Caracal and Executioner in the medium plex in Akidagi. Now the system is owned by the Caldari so the plex NPC would also be on their side. But both characters were quite new and then looking around the POS I saw a Caracal that someone had left behind. I decided to jump into this and go for it. I was a little worried that I hadn't prearranged that we could use each others ships and if I lost it, I might upset someone, but I could replace it. A few seconds to familiarize myself with the fit, Rapid lights and a large ASB, web and long point.

I landed and went in, my alt was in his Crane in system. He was occupying the Squad Leader position in fleet, so I was getting the basic leadership skills passed down to me. I had decided to kill the Executioner first, but he baled as soon as I entered. It became a straight Caracal vs Caracal fight, I overloaded my missiles and ASB and initially outstripped his damage, my own ASB was able to hold the incoming damage, but he too seemed to have an ASB. Then I ran out of ammunition and remembered how long it took to reload Rapid lights, then I ran out of ASB charges and the guy was still firing. He seemed to be firing light missiles, but he wasn't running out. My damage climbed, all the shields were gone and dipping into armour. My one chance was to burn away and try to get out. He didn't have a web and only a long point, so I was able to pull range. Then his damage stopped, finally he had run out. I think he was slow to start firing and didn't overheat like me, it seemed like an age that he continued to fire. My own missiles finally reload, just as I lost point, I turned back and overheated my point to catch him again, then I took him down very quickly, once his shields went, it only took another couple of salvos. Turned out he had a Medium ASB and a big buffer tank, obviously he too had eventually run out of ASB charges and was still reloading them when I started hitting him again. Again I had a bit of the shakes and was so excited I warped out without recalling my drones or scooping the loot. But I went back later and recovered them. In the meantime my borrowed Caracal was in a right mess, everything was heavily heat damaged, plus Armor damage and I'd lost the drones. But I went to Enaluri and sorted it all out, reloaded everything, added ammunition, drones and Cap Booster charges to replace the missing ones and put it quietly back in the POS.

18-24th January 2016

It has been a rather dull week, evidenced by my lack of postings here. I had recurring problems with my broadband culminating on the Saturday with me DCing every few minutes and getting download speeds as low as 3 MB. After rebooting the router again, I finally went to the provider. The helpdesk woman told me a bunch of cryptic stuff about checking out my equipment remotely and then having to go off to talk to the technical department. She eventually came back and told me that they would be monitoring my account usage for the next 72 hours without explaining what for. Then magically I was getting 55 MB download speeds and it didn't DC for the rest of the day. I've had a couple of DCs since then, but nowhere near as bad and download speed has remained good.

It was a big week in terms of logistics in that I've been seeding the market in Enaluri to further encourage the corp to settle in. So that has meant multiple hauler trips to Jita and even working out how to, and making my first JF run to Jita. I expected that to be fraught with difficulties after being spoilt in the Minmatar militia while in Huola. For Enaluri to Jita it meant a jump to a closer but unknown low sec system with a high sec gate. Then a slow boat journey through several busy high sec systems with a higher risk of a lol gank of an empty JF. Finally, the return journey required 2 low sec jump drive jumps, again via an untrusted system. But if proved easier than I expected. All of it done on the main from my second account with a cyno alt from Trant's account.

The JF brought in a ton of minerals and I started production of a load of T1 Frigates, Dessies and Cruisers which I have researched BPOs for + a couple of faction ships that I have a BPC for. Most of these ships then went onto the market.

I dinged 250K GalMil loyalty points and decided to treat myself with a Megathron Navy Issue. I was going to buy the BPC and manufacturer it in Enaluri, but when I compared the costs, I found it about 30M Isk cheaper to buy a regular Megathron and exchange it for the built navy version. But that meant carefully hauling it around to Ichoriya with my alt in his Bustard and then running it into low sec during a quiet moment. But again that proved easier than expected.

I sorted out the corp hanger in Enaluri and went through every corp ship. Several ships needed refitting, others needed ammunition, drones, scripts, paste or cap booster charges. The bill I finally presented to the corp came to over 100M Isk for those mods and consumables. But the Enaluri corp hangers look beautiful now. In addition I sorted out members roles and accesses, this including adding a Ship Maintenance Array (purchased and hauled in by Dreaded) to the POS and setting up the permissions on that. Finally, I pulled out the two broken Guardians and the Augoror chocolate fireguard from Hallanen, moved them back to Enaluri, refitted them and stored them in the appropriate hangers.

There was some PvP and I got on 20 kills, but lost 3 ships myself, 2 Svipuls and a Breacher. All three losses were disappointing mistakes on my part. The first was the blingy brawling Svipul that I had purchased from GUIYIAN on new years day. I took it on an a poorly run roam and lost it in a fight against 4 Ferox's. A fight we shouldn't have taken and really emphasised the fact that a blingy short range buffer tanked fleet ship has no business in a fleet with no reps. But I can't critise too much because it was me that sighted this gang and got us the fight and nobody told me to bring that ship.

The second loss was a C*ckbag Svipul on the Ichoriya gate. WTs had pulled together a fleet which included a couple of BS to break the gate camp, this they successfully did, killing a couple. From range, I sighted a couple of wreaks off gate and decided to cheekily swoop in and steal the contents. But I got caught by a Keres, then webbed down by a Hyena and taken out by the BS.

...My final loss was one of my kiting Breachers. Two neutral Worms had chased me out of a plex earlier, but I returned after they left, then got involved in a conversation in corp chat. Suddenly a flashy neutral was in the plex with me. I assumed the Worms again and attempted to warp out, but at the last second realised it was only a Tormentor and frantically cancelled warp out. In all the confusion, the Tormentor had closed range and locked me. Before I could start my MWD and start orbiting at range, he got me scrammed and webbed down. I put up a good fight, but went down.

I went back in my short range Breacher, but again I was caught off guard when I landed on the plex and found him outside. I activated gate, expecting him to follow me in and I would catch him on the warp in. However, upon landing, found a neutral Comet on the inside, really I was all over the shop. Initially I assumed they were together and was in a bit of a panic, but decided to go for it anyway. I went after the Comet but he burned away and then warped off. The Tormentor came in, but he landed outside of scramble range. I had to burn back, but he was faster with a web and kept me at about 8 Km, his optimal range. For a while it looked like I was going to lose a second Breacher, but I finally gave up trying to get into a tight orbit where my tracking disruptor would have maximum impact. Instead, I settled for an 8 Km mutual orbit, damage lessened and my Shield Booster was able to recover it. A good 30 seconds into the fight I realised I hadn't launched my drones and belatedly set them on him. He was active armor tanked, an ancillary repper I believe. Finally he went into the reload cycle and it looked like I was going to take him down. But then he was on the edge of my scram range and his web outranged my scram. Although I was looking for it, he was easily able to break out and warp off. It was a good fight, but I would have been happier with the outcome if I hadn't lost the first Breacher.

The Tormentor pilot was a Tusker, a corp I have a lot of respect for. One of two corps I've had on my short list for literally years, of corps I'd like to join if I ever want to move on. The other being Agony Unleashed, but Agony seems to have fallen by the wayside of late.
