I have had a flash of genius.

Everybody always complains about people messing up each other's threads right?

So how's this for a solution. Everybody limit your fighting, off topic arguing, **** posting, **** slinging, pedantic, snide little comments, and general bigotry to this thread.

I'll even start you off.

Historically, threads like this have been used as an additional venue for rabblerabble, instead of an alternative venue. As you well know, the various sorts on this forum that we want to use this sort of thing instead continue on their merry way.

Kalatiri, dear, I'd love if certain otehrs here didn't make every damn thread about arguing, but we have two to three regulars who **** stuff up, and do make thigns impossible to discuss without running across inane declarations every two steps. So you give these attention seekers attention because... you'd rather they weren't seeking attention? Would you attempt to starve a beast by feeding it every time it opened its mouth as well?

Don't feed the creatures, this is not a particularly difficult concept to grasp, even if the IGS seems to be evidence to the contrary.

The root of the issue is that the primary derailment always occurs due to the action of almost always one single person, who has to make every thread here about their monomaniacal obsession. Starving them of attention doesn't work because they will show up, and will **** up the thread, and will claim they have no clue what everybody is upset about them for.

I was talking to Seraphim Risen there, Kalaratiri. I am curious what Seraphim hopes to achieve then, by continuously feeding them? Other than further wrecking the threads in question, I mean.

Just ignore them and either add to the discussion or at least don't become part of the problem yourself.
