Character Creation - No Appearance Costumization

Hello Everybody!

I have a problem that kind of annoys me. I just downloaded the 14 day trial for EVE Online. When starting a new character I am not able to adjust the appearance of my character and only have three stages of character creation available enabling me only to chosse race, background and education.

My flatmate which downloaded it with me has 5 stages available, able to costumize everything about his new character.

What is the reason for that ?

It's a bug; started happening since the last patch.

You can:

a. Create a support ticket that you can't customize your character, and wait.

b. Create your character with whatever options are available, then once you get into the station re-log the game and click the Character Customization button to finalize your character the way you want it. Then create a support ticket for CCP telling them that you had to use your free customization because the bug didn't let you create the character properly; they may give you another free customization.

Otherwise, if they don't, you can change clothes, hair, and your picture as many times as you wish, and for full body resculpt (weight, skin tone, etc.), there's a cert you can buy either on the market for ISK or from the aurum store (about $5 I believe).

This guy just posted on having an issue with his resculpt not showing. It is possible that these two are related. It sounds like CCP has been having some issues with character models since the last patch. I would file a petition ticket on this if I were you.

I would think that you can just go ahead and play the game and CCP should give you a free resculpt when they get things fixed. I can say that for sure but it would make sense for them to do that.

Regardless I'd file a ticked on it and in the mean time just play the game.

As others said, there are stations in game where you can change your appearance, so it's not something set in stone. You might have to file a support ticket and wait a bit, but start playing the game and fix the appearance once CCP deals with the bug.
