I got really stuck in a mission that I have no clue how to pass. I am obsessed now. Already lost 3 ships to it (one on a PVP right at the acceleration gate) . I can't find help online. Does anyone here have a clue on how to approach this sucker? It's Anomic Base. Lvl 4. By Lozdod Pousel in Osmon. Sisters of Eve Bureau. I fly Caldari Only.

Probably the worst of the most pathetic pilots in New Eden.

So is it bugged? I thought of dropping it, but got obsessed enough with it already. Surely it can be done, can't it?

Yes, but it's one of those 'law of diminishing returns' type of missions, ie: you don't get back what you put into it in terms of time for the ISK/LP reward compared to just about every other Burner mission.

It's pretty marginal in terms of returns unfortunately. It's not the worst lv4 mission (though it's not anywhere near any of the other burners) and I believe people like Chainsaw Plankton can make it almost profitable but it's a real pita mission in general. It's the only burner I skip and theres no penalty to skip it, even after you've accepted it.

Burner missions are in general quite idiotic, as they can only be done by very few ships.

I thought so too at first but people continuously come up with the craziest builds that apparently work, to various degrees of efficiency of course. Some are better and some are safer, some are faster and some are riskier but there's really a decent amount of fits for most missions.

The fact that people can no longer just sit in a Golem or Mach and do every level IV is actually a good thing.

Here is a link to my "solution" for the guristas base: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6068439#post6068439
and there are a few more notes that may be useful here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=447834&find=unread

you can kite them, I completed it in a kite oracle, however that isn't really the greatest solution as they have a tiny sig radius and are very hard to hit so it takes a long time. kite omen navy or a zealot might work better, but I haven't tested it.

not bugged, just annoying/low paying compared to other missions

I got it down to something like 11 mins combat time... every other burner I can do in that time from accept to turn in.

If you go for optimal fits then yes it is a bit limiting, however many can be done by different ships they just aren't as talked about. Also what is the problem with limiting it? Burners let me use my SP in a far different way than most other content. They can be freely declined and you can run the ones you are able to with your current skills and pass on the other ones.

burners beat the hell out of trying to run high level missions in a frigate for "fun" Nothing fun about shooting a battleship npc in a frigate, just takes forever chewing through a massive wall of HP. Almost too easy to keep your speed high enough they can't even hit you.
