Escalation question?

I ran a vigil yesterday but I didn't get an escalation message. Later, I happened to find that the site had escalated from looking at the journal so I'm wondering what happened to the message (possible answer is I overlooked it.)

When I ran the first step of the escalation I cleared the first pocket including the trigger without getting a message. I jumped the acceleration gate but I got neuted so I warped out. When I warped back the gate and npc's were gone but the the escalation was still listed in my journal as incomplete even though it wouldn't let me warp to it. Later the escalation was listed as expired.

Is that expected behavior if you warp out after clearing the escalation trigger?

I think this is some bug with some sites as the same thing happened to me few times: you don't get any message for next part of escalation but site still remains in log even after you kill everything and site completely despawns.

More than likely you missed the initial message for the escalation which is easy to do, especially when busy clicking the screen and fighting NPC's.

Having the location stay listed in Journal after completing the escalation site definitely sounds like a bug. Not getting a message afterwards stating you hit a dead-end could also be due to the bug.

Might wanna file a bug report about it.

I got the message for the last one, but then it failed to show up in journal

What did the message say?

You probably got something like "you reached a dead end" or "there are no further clues to follow".
