Any of my fellow EVE-mates enjoying Fallout 4 as much as me? I mean.... I know in many ways it's not quite the same Fallout that it used to be, but I still quite enjoy it.

Anyway, made a gallery of my Spectacle Island settlement for your perusal. I'd love to see what everyone else is coming up with.

Nope. I am sure it's fun, but you are quite right.

Nothing can quite capture the feeling of taking out Metzger the first time, or wiping out the Hubologists with the .223 pistol.

Except Eve maybe. Guess it's about time I died and stopped f___ing around yeh?

I stopped playing a few weeks ago. It's a solid game. I put a lot of time into it in the first two weeks or so, but unfortunately I just can't find the same level of immersion in FO4 as I did in 3 and NV. I still have to play through the first two.

Fallout 2 is still a strong contender for best in series. New Vegas being it's best rival.
I loved 3, and am still cracking out HARD to 4... but, it's not quite the same.
Too many unkillable characters and the loss of the whole karma/reputation system leaves a hollow empty place in the middle of my Fallout experience. I still love the game, but realizing that it doesn't matter whether I'm nice or not (aside from flavor text), is for me kind of like suddenly realizing that I'm drinking non-alcoholic beer.
There are some seriously annoying NPC's that I simply cannot stand, but cannot dispatch or even send away. It's kind of maddening at times.

We gained incredibly modular weapons in exchange for a smaller selection of base types to work with. It's neat, but I miss my grenade launcher, my .223 pistol, the pulse weapons... but at least some of the legacy items were carried into this iteration, such as the Alien Blaster.

The settlement building is something I actually really like, and I hope they'll carry that ball further with future DLC's.
Still a great game, and I imagine it's going to be eating up much of my free time for a while yet.

Awoke with a mean streak and a moderate hangover and decided to take matters into my own hands.

The Long family has been dealt with.

Originally I had intended to entomb them a la Cask of Amontillado, but they wouldn't hold still long enough.
Sometimes you have to lower your standards, I guess.

They now each occupy their own fenced in dog run near the bridge in Sanctuary. Now they can embrace their new lives as professional bullet stoppers for any invaders who cross that bridge. Finally, a use for unkillable NPCs.
It still took the better part of an hour to accomplish, due to cat herding issues... and I may have shot Marcy in the face a few times more than necessary during the project. However, I no longer have to listen to either of them whine at me whenever I happen to wander within a dozen yards of them.

Still, it was worth it, and Sanctuary is starting to live up to it's name.
Next project, my cooler full of chems meets Mama Murphy.
Right after I get that Cannibal perk.... Preston is gonna love this.
Final phase of Operation Peace and Quiet commences.

Edit: It didn't work. They escaped the cage. Back to the drawing board.
