Merchants Trade Consortium [MTCU] is looking for more pilots, recruitment is therefore open to the public again. We’re a PvP wormhole corporation, who live in a Class 4 wormhole, which has static Class 4 and Class 5 exits and no environmental effects. We believe that this combination of wormholes meets our desire to find ‘Good Fights’.

MTCU was formed in YC 108.3 [March 2006] and has been in continuous existence since then. The corporation entered wormhole space just after Apocrypha in YC 111.3 [March 2009] and has been living there, in various wormholes ever since. The corporation is the executor corporation for one of New Eden’s oldest wormhole space alliances, The Last Chancers. The main reason for this longevity is our view that attitude is more important than skill points.

If you are looking to enter wormhole space to make ISK all of the time then other corporations will be a better fit for you. We always try to take a fight when it makes sense and we’ve been known to throw ourselves at larger fleets if we believe that we have a chance of taking them down. We’re a pretty easygoing and laid-back group of capsuleers to play with, however we do insist of good communication discipline during fights.

We offer small to large gang PvP/ hunting in wormhole space, roams and Black Ops in Null Sec/ Low Sec, with enough PvE opportunities to enable you to replace your losses/ buy new shinier ships. All MTCU members have semi-private Player Owned Structures [POS], where they have their own private Corporate Hanger division. We also have a limited Ship Replacement Program [SRP] to cover losses incurred during operations, subject to your ship being a correctly fitted doctrine ship. As with all wormhole corporations we do expect members to be fairly active however, we understand that this is a game and real life must come first.

MTCU buys everything you mine, loot or salvage in wormhole space through an effective and mandatory payout system. Our mapping system ensures that you are not flying blind that you know where our fleet is, what they’re flying, routes, possible targets and resources.

Our current recruitment standards are:

The ability to use a Covert Ops frigate [or Astero] with Astrometrics 4, Astrometric Acquisition 3, Astrometric Pinpointing 3 and Astrometric Rangefinding 3.

The ability to fly a tech 2 armor cruiser with a tech 2 armor tank and the appropriate tech 2 weapons or logistics modules.

Support skills trained to a reasonable level, i.e fitting, navigation and gunnery skills.

A willingness to quickly train into doctrine ships, with an acceptance that if you cannot fly a doctrine ship you may not be able to participate in certain fleets, i.e if you can’t fly a Stealth Bomber you may not be able to take part in Black Ops.

An understanding that all members are required to have TeamSpeak 3 and a working microphone, all members are expected to be logged into TeamSpeak at all times when in game.

A willingness to provide a full API key for all of your accounts, with no expiry date. Note: These must remain active throughout your time in MTCU.
