I've been a fan of star wars since I was a kid, the new one to me absolutely sucked. Another deathstar, emo kid kills dad whos survived everything. Personally I think the actor casted for Kylo Ren was terrible, and having to watch him go on a small child fit swinging his light saber around destroying the room. Yeah, going to pretend like I never saw it. When Kylo first took off his helmet, the entire theater laughed tbh.

J. J. Abrams needs to grow up.

Negatives:
- So much predictable plot.
- Dragging out the old characters in poor execution as fan boy service.
- Typical of the director over the top melodrama.
- Typical of the director playing into teenage fantasy, using a cast of young characters.
- Cliche plot devices (props) and drivers.
- Rey was essentially Anakin, scrap metal, being used, desert planet, etc.
- Daddy rejection. (where have we seen that before?)

Positives:
- Fin was a decent turn of events, fairly amusing.
- Ren's over compensating sword reflected him.
- They forgot to cut off Rey's limb.
- Back stories, e.g. why Rey was there.
- Film visual effects.

Overall it is worth seeing in 3D but wouldn't buy / rent a regular DVD of this film nor recommend it.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.
