If you close the launcher with windows open and re-open the launcher it thinks you have no accounts signed in.

I know, it's on my list.

So with all the stuff that is "on your list" and will "be added soon", how the hell did this get out of beta ?

After all these years you are still bringing in half-finished stuff before its anywhere ready.

Going out of beta doesn't mean we stop developing and improving it. If you prefer using the old launcher, it is still available.

Actually it isn't.

I installed Windows 10 on a new SSD today. I wanted to use the old launcher as I have a number of accounts with 3 characters on each, and I really did not want to have to reset every window size, colour, chat channel on each character. I copied the setting folders and just wanted to paste them back in. Everything is in different locations on the new launcher and it would be a pain in the ass.

So, I downloaded the executable and the payloads, but on running the exe, I was getting the message "cannot access network location C:/EVE/SharedCache".

So, CCP Snorlax....the old launcher isn't available.

Awesome stuff.

Just wanted to say good job to CCP Snorlax for being so responsive in this thread.

Pretty much is answering every single inquiry and working hard to fix issues. Most other game companies you don't get a personal dev response when u post an issue.

anyway.. just wanted to say thanks. Most of us are very grateful

Yeah, the offline installer isn't working.

The settings files are saved in different locations in the new launcher.

After copying them over, on a few characters some of the settings worked some didn't. On some characters they didn't work at all and I really can't be arsed resetting everything on 15 characters.

Most of my accounts finish in the next couple of weeks, and as CCP have pretty much screwed the game up over the last year, it gives me a reason to finally quit.

Yeah, the offline installer isn't working.

After doing a system restore, I'm getting the error "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error code is 2709"

Having the test server on the new launcher is really great. Something that might be handy is a news item on there telling the date of the last mirror.

Do not run. We are your friends.

The Launcher still doers not scale well on high density screens (high dpi).

I have my surface pro 2 set to 150% display scaling, but the new launcher does not scale in size.
It seems the old launcher scales fine.

Here is a comparison between new and old launcher's sizes when 150% scaling is turned on.

The launcher doesn't consistently remember display resolution and graphics settings for multiple clients. Sometimes it does for some clients, other times clients inherit display and graphics settings from others. This is utilizing the Mac launcher.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Any chance we can get the name of the apps in the task switcher not to be the same (EVE Online) when running multiple clients? I'd like to see which toon I am switching to at a glance. Maybe name them after the account or profile?

BTW, the new Launcher is amazing Attention

Mac or Window?

Because in standard "alt+tab" or "Microsoft+tab" (windows 10), your toon name is in the title bar AFTER you selected the toon. The account name is not however displayed either in the title bar or process command line.

I don't know about Mac, are-you talking about a "task swtiching" tool other than alt+tab ?

Something is wrong with my beta launcher... (system specs are below)

Whenever I open the launcher for the first time on a given day, I am forced to wait a few minutes while listening to my SATA hard drive sound like a mix between a jet turbine and a kitchen sink garbage shredder (the EVE launcher is unique in how crazy it makes my hard drive read/write).

When it is opened, the hard drive immediately goes crazy and then eventually it says it's apparently "copying" something -- even on days there is no patch. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it does this. I've gone ahead and disabled all test servers (thinking it was patching them each time) and I don't see any option telling the launcher to verify my game directory's integrity each time I open the launcher -- so I still cannot get why I have to wait a few minutes to launch on the new launcher when the old would be quick.

It is worth mentioning that this ONLY happens the first time I open the launcher after a fresh boot up for the day (I shut down my comp each night). If I was to close the launcher and re-open it (after I waited the few mins for it to do whatever it's doing) I can play instantly.

I just want to get to a point where ... if there's no TQ patch, the launcher sees that I'm up to date and lets me play immediately. No copying random crap each day.

Otherwise, great work on the new launcher -- glad i can start 3 accounts at once now.

Figured I would give the new launcher a go, had some issues with the initial install, eventually fixed them.

Everything was working fine, had it running and launched the game with two clients. However after closing the game and trying again a little later I have the issue where any time I open the launcher I just get a black box and the windows not responding.

Running it as admin, win10.

I find it strange there is no response to my inquiry. Will you guys be adding the ability to paste in your password on the Mac launcher? I currently will not play as there is no way i'm going to waste my time typing in a 32 character unique password. I think it is silly to change my password to something less secure because of a reduction in functionality of your 'new' client.

Could you please respond and give some feedback on this issue? Is there a way I can bypass the launcher? When doing a fresh install of the client I am only presented with "eve launcher.app" instead of the old client that I could log into manually. It looks like this is now being pushed as the exclusive way to login for Mac users.

Thank you,

It works great and it does what it's supposed to, you demanding prick. Just because it doesn't have every feature YOU want doesn't mean it's still in beta.

OK, thanks for the clarification. Digging into this right now.

Had a look again. I just set up a few bookmarks on my account using the 'old' launcher. I then went back and fired up the same account using the new launcher. Open View->Client Settings and dragged my settings from the left hand box over to the right hand box. Then opened the client using those settings, voila. Bookmarks available.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you do this, I cannot see an open view > client settings. also i can only open the one account so when you say left hand box to right hand box where exactly are you talking about.
