T2 production outside Jita/The Forge - The moongoo situation

For several reasons after few years of honored career in the golden north I'm planning to move my ass(ets) to the south. I've checked the market in Rens which should be my main hub or Hek and I've shivered inside a little. Moongoo is stupid expensive there, sometimes even +30/40% more and I can't tell if the respective higher prices for hulls and stuff in general can compensate to the fact you're spending so much more for building. It's hard to understand volumes too. I have a fairly high production capability but of course I need to sell fast in order to start the next production cycle so I cannot play the -0.01 game for weeks before cashing back my investments.

Anyone doing his business down there or anyway not buying moongoo in Jita can tell me how's the real situation in the rusty south?

the whole situation is very simple:

if you need moongoo, buy it in jita or find someone who sells to you directly.

Wow man you're crushing my wildest dreams about helping Rens out of the coal era.

The problem with buying in Jita and moving my stuff south is very simple: not effective. Time consuming and too risky, I'm sure you know how much value can be stored in a freighter filled with moongoo and jumping 25 gates from Jita to Metropolis, not gonna happen.

Probably having a local supplier at least for the "main ones" should help bigtime but I don't even know if now with alchemy it's possible to produce effectively every single goo anywhere or if let's say titanium carbide (caldari main goo) is imported from caldari space and crystalline carbonide is imported from gallente's and so if I will buy at an extra cost anyway.

In short: is this really how all the southern regions live? Importing goo from Jita? Maaaan

Also, I did some research remembering those nice eve-porn jpegs in the economy roundup at fanfest and a couple of other devblogs with those nice bubbles showing production, destruction and all related...... porn.

This is from the last one. It's pretty interesting if you try to couple Heimatar and Metropolis in a sort of super-region of the south.

Production, Trading Hubs and the real deal, the regional balance as in the difference of (exports - imports), first as ISK value second as volumes

All in one here

Now, I'm not a tychoon and I suck at economy, but it really looks like the south imports huge volumes and huge values but it's a sh1t at producing their own stuff. Is this what you do down there ah? You go Jita and buy your ships there!!

This thing is gonna change soon. I'm gonna kick your butt out of the coal era!

No, you're not.

Edit:

You're doing it wrong.

Without checking the market myself and just trusting the values you've provided of a 30-40% price premium, this is a total ******* eye-roller.

Public courier contracts of up to a billion in collateral are regularly accepted at a million isk per jump. You can have all the ******* moongoo you want in Rens or Hek at what is effectively a ~2.5% premium over the Jita price.

There are cheaper ways, thanks for the effort.
