CCP I'd like a free subscription for life (but not for me)

I'm getting the feeling that a good part of the reason for this thread's existence ...

So you want to get something over the fact they have provided a game worthwhile of your subscription for all that time? Because the game being good is not enough? FFS chance are you probably didn't pay it all by yourself and used someone else's money to pay for it VIA PLEX.

Agree with Frostys. Long-term players played the game that long because it was and is a fun hobby. Or because they have found good friends / communitys here they like to hang out with. Not because of loyality to a game.

Loyalty is faithfulness or a devotion to a person, group, or cause. I don't think that loyalty to a game even exists. It's only purpose is to entertain you. And if it can't do that (anymore), you should pick another one.

There is no need to feel pity for veteran Eve-players, they had lots of fun. If CCP wants to honor them in some way, it should be in the form of a skin, podcolor or even a ship. Have no problems with that. But surely not with a free subscription for life.

You have good points here, I admit. Only clarification is I was never moved by pity. I think in a way they are mighty, legendary even thou not necessarily the best players they are somehow like living relics. I thought a medal or a skin would be something they could wear with pride but somehow not cool enough (or may be cool enough). Perhaps a free subscription was too much of a reward? Well that falls more into the tuning the recompense than into the agreeing they should get one. Thanks.

bit of trivia:

AFAIK there is only one life time sub out there. it was won at the silent auction at fan fest 07.

not sure if others were auctioned at other ff's but there ya go.

As an 04 player, i just want a sword or a 'vet' badge.

That's why I would want a special ship/frig/shuttle that only 2003 account holders can pilot, I already have ISK and stuff I would like to have something unique.

Maybe have it that only 2003 account holders can buy, research, copy and manufacture the ships BPO as well.

I like good whiskey so that's not going away any time soon.

I don't really say anything terribly offensive I just like to keep a low profile, I have no real rep in my circle and would like to keep it that way, hence my blatant abuse of an alt, I do post with one of my mains when something important comes up but that's very rare.

So we are special. Every one of you boys thats play`s eve is special. We care about or game. And we do not want to see it get rune by FTP nonsense or free gifts from CCP this let me think of the lovely GM back with BoB alliance.
