Lost several Tengus recently whilst running plex in null. If I shove two WCS on the ship, how much would it gimp it?

You go from around 640 DPS to 550 (assuming 4 BCS to start with) and your lock range range and scan res go to 45km and about 110 (nearly 20 seconds to lock a frig).

IMO, It's not worth it. Just watch local for neuts and D-scan for probes.

Are you losing them to the rats or to players because you are tackled by the rats when hostiles come in?

Fitting a WCS is a bad idea regardless, you should just pay attention and kill warp scrambling frigs.

OP should sue the guy who sold him the bot-program that failed him imo.

Interesting KM Suzu. That's obviously a PVP Tengu, and tge situation is a lot different to the one I've faced. Thanks for posting that though. However, after giving it more thought, I realised that the first time I succeed at escaping, I will simply face them again and they will have adapted to overcome my by-then-gimped fit. Bu**er. Cry

No mate, I'm not, but that's a good point re. scrambling frigs.

I dunno, WCS used to have a seriously bad name pre-nerf, and imo, rightly so. However, they are legitimate modules and I'm thinking that they may be the answer to my problem. Cheers though.

Thanks for that info Mfume, nice one. Watching D-Scan for neuts and that is always good. However, my nemesis is one of those always in system and cloaked. D-Scan is good, but won't reveal cloakers like Rapiers. By the time I've reacted, his pals are in the system and I'm bu**ered. I can't stay aligned all the time because I'll go out of targetting range.

Thanks again for those figures. Gives me something to think about.

D-scan shows combat probes, set it to 8 AU and once you see 4x on your D-scan warp out. Alternatively (BOLD PVE) you just stay aligned out, swapping align points every few minutes as you get out of range of stuff.

Don't listen to them, just fit WCS. The rage and whine in local when you warp out after being caught is well worth it.Bear

It's just not the same when you leave while they're still scanning. It's normal, and just doesn't produce sufficient amount of butthurt. What?

yeah, I know the D-Scan shows combat probes, but wasn't aware of what distance to set and what amount [of probes] to see before legging it. Thanks Mfume, nice one.
