What Happened to the Cool Cyno-Jump Effect?

So I jumped my new Widow into my losec home today--\o/ first time travelling by jump drive \o/--and...meh.

I am disappoint:

Did CCP change the effect again? The red lightning/smart-bombish one is now the "splash" effect (like the old Apocrypha-till-Crucible lameness) only bigger and with a glow in the centre that fades out, without the cool "bang" sound, either.

So,

1) Is it different from one's own-ship P/o/V
2) Was it changed
3) Is it different for BLOPs jump-drives (I jumped to a standard cyno on a Kessie, if that matters) to standard capital JD's?

E: Haven't seen anything in the dev-blogs or recent patch notes, either.

I suspect it was due to it being your own ship. Try asking the cyno pilot if he saw the new effect or the one you described.

I am thinking your Corp name is quite fitting in this situation.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

He wasn't watching that client, unfortunately :(

He did say he heard a big bang on jump-in, though, that is a good sign Bear

Yes, you can't see your own jump-in effect.

K, I'd hoped that's what it was.

Cheers, mates.

EDIT: Oops, I meant this about the jump-out effect--that that had changed (apparently) from what Spank linked in the video above. I know you can't see your jump-in (I don't think you ever could, if memory serves?) effect.
