Hi all, I wanted to give you a small update and ask for your assistance once again.

We have a possible lead and have made some changes that are currently on the Singularity test server. If you are still experiencing the display adapter reset can you connect to Singularity and reply to this thread if the issue is resolved for you or not.

Instructions to connect to Singularity can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Sisi_Launcher

We are continuing to look into this issue but as we don’t have a reproduction in house we must rely on feedback from you to ascertain if we're making progress with these changes.

It's definitely improved on Singularity. Undocking doesn't seem to have any issues at all, and jumping only causes a reset sometimes. I'll need to do more to see if there's any pattern there.

Ok after some testing on the test server it seems that the bigger the ship the more likely a black screen will occur. Frigates seem fine destroyers need to be zoomed out while in space. Battleships still have black screen even when zoomed all the way out. It also occurs on a smaller ships when one of the battle ships is rendered in the scene on jump.

Over all the improvements seem a step in the right direction.

My computer is an Acer Aspire i5 intel HD graphics and 6gb memory.

Agreed. Undocking is still not an issue, but I was getting blackscreen on jumps today in anything larger than a destroyer.

Just rolled back the driver to 8.15.10.2182 seems to have solved the problem on both TQ and SISI even with the raven which would frequently kill the graphics on the client it was on.

I finally had time to instal the test server client and am happy to report that none of the crash issues were occuring. I didnt spent a lot of time doing stuff, but i undocked, jumped a few systems over, docked and undocked without any issues.

I also, have not touched any of my drivers. So, hopefully, whatever fixed it makes it into the next patch....

Just to anyone that is skeptical reading this, I rolled back my drivers linked in a earlier post. Worked fine, only problem, in game perfermance is a little worst.

But if you are tired of the graphics crashes I suggest doing rolling them drivers back.

Im using a core i3 w/ Intel(R) HD Graphics (laptop)

EDIT:

I've reverted back to the latest drivers. The older drivers impacted other games far more than I would have liked. :(
CS:S - Unplayable
WoW - Looks more terrible than usual (don't know how thats possible)
League of Legends - 13 fps....

So ya, reverting back ASAP.

Can't we just get a fix :(

No, because clearly its Intels/all those other games that have no issues with the drivers, that are the problem. Not CCP and Eve, no siree!

Hinkers Doodles and Jimi Crackcorn, have you both read my last post about connecting to Singularity to see of our changes have resolved the issue for you. I would suggest you do this as other players are finding their issues resolved or alleviated.

If you had read anything on this problem, you'd know that the latest driver is in fact ******* up a **** ton of games other than just Eve. It is partly an Intel problem, but apparently, there's a way games can solve the issue, Intel is just **** at working with gaming designers after an apparent significant change to their ******* driver.

I will try to update the driver and give sisi a whirl. Any chance you have compared this older driver version to the newer one to possibly see were a difference might occur?

I'll tune into Singularity when there are more +confirm posts. Until then, it's not worth updating and downgrading drivers over and over so CCP doesn't have to pay for testers. Sorry, but being stuck in sub BS isn't resolved nor alleviated.

I'm glad to see you are actually working on it though, despite all the mixed signals CCP is giving on the problem. I hope you could understand why some could be a little on edge, not being able to get a straight answer from CCP and all.

I had some more time to play around on sisi and I found that the crashes do happen but only if i have something open from the neocom (wallet, char sheet, asset tab etc.) Oops

As long it's just my overview open my graphics card doesn't derp. Maybe this is because the neocom gave me an error 1st thing when I booted it up and is still unfinished and buggy.... but still... looks like no fix I think.

Anyone else who has been crashing find this to be the case?
