What sort of loot can be expected from Level 3 - 4 security missions?

I'm doing some research on missions and trying to figure out what sort of stuff I can expect to see from typical security missions. Does it matter if they're done in amarr space or elsewhere? (I'm focusing on amarr, probably out of penirgman)

Are there any sort of loot drop tables I can look at?

Every faction has their own loot table. Generally corresponding to the way they tank, the weapons they use and what Ewar they use along with some generic stuff. You'll only find Meta 1-4 loot items and T1 ammo. A few specific missions drop implants, some useless, some worth a decent amount while some are random and others are guaranteed. Burners have a small chance of dropping faction loot and a good chance at dropping faction ammo.

Generally the loot is not worth all that much and it's mostly not worth it from a isk/h standpoint to go back to a site with a noctis and loot the sites. Marauders can loot and salvage while running the mission and so is superior to just full clear in a non marauder for the most part. Blitzing missions and running burners offer the best isk/h if that's your thing.

Or drop a mobile tractor unit for each room (remembering to bookmark them) and come back for the loot (but dont bother salvaging it isnt worth it)

Zazzmatazz and Damsel have a chance to drop a 65m ISK implant.
Damsel and Beserk have great loot and are worth salvaging (10m ISK).
The "Enemies" (Caldari) series drops close to 185m ISK in salvage and tags.
Scarlet drops a 8m ISK implant if you kill her in the 2nd or 3rd room.
Angels Extravaganza usually drops a 8m ISK implant in the silo.

These are all Lv4 missions.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Well CCP is currently in the process of rebalancing all meta items and making the T2 variants superior to meta 4. This is both good and bad. Good because it finally makes T2 items worth using. Bad because it greatly reduces the value of meta 4 items that often comes from mission loot. To make mission looting viable again, CCP needs to readjust the loot droppings in missions to allow the rats to NOW drop T2 items as the meta 4s are becoming more and more redundant.

But atm the best loot comes from running missions in Amarr space thanks to the Blood Raiders, Sansha and EoM rats. And from my experience, the only missions worth looting/salvaging are the following in order from the best to the last? (These are all level 4s btw)

Smash the Supplier (50-60mill in total loot/salvage)
Dread Pirate Scarlet (15-23mill in total loot/salvage)
Vengeance (if bonus is at least 1.9mill) (8-23mill in total loot/salvage)
Blockade (if bonus is at least 1.8mill) (10-16mill in total loot/salvage
The Assault (if bonus is at least 1.9mill) (9-14mill in total loot/salvage)
Gone Berzerk (9-12mill in total loot/salvage)
Damsel in Distress (if bonus is at least 1.3mill) (Avg. 9-12mill in total loot/salvage) (rare 65mill Zor implant drop)

The missions you want to kill for bounties without loot/salvage are the following:
Worlds Collide
Mordus Headhunters
Angel Extravaganza (4th room silo drops an 1-17mill implant)

Run all Team Burners, this is where you'll make the bulk of your isk running lev 4's for SOE. ( you can skip the Worm, and Succubus because they're a real pain sometimes)

Speaking of Scarlet, there use to be a bug where she would still show up in room 3 if you popped her in room 2, giving you potentially two +3 charisma imps and two 5M ticks from her. That still a thing or was that fixed like the respawns? I don't have a gunboat to run that to check myself. Yes, I'm one of those missile chucker weirdos, though I'm saving up for a Vargur.

Also, from my experience (though I honestly don't care much nowadays to compare), most Guristas' and Serpentis ops tend to have less worthy loot tables, especially Guristas -- they don't drop ****. Blood Raiders, Sansha, EoM, and some Mercs ops tend to have a bit better tables and are worth at least dropping an MTU or two for some extra income. Faction missions are loot-only income, so no reason to not loot and salvage them. Run enough variety of missions and you'll soon develop an idea as to what kind of worth loot-wise missions will be when they get offered. I myself tend to no longer worry so much about the worth, as I either loot or don't nowadays based on whether I feel like taking the extra time to do so, faction missions being the exception -- again, always loot those, as you literally get nothing from those beyond LP without loot.

Also, check the survival guide on specific mission offers; sometimes, unique looting opportunities like implant drops and such get posted there...

you only get the implant in the third room, you can still get the double bounty. The catch is you have to one volley her as she "warps off" as soon as you take an offensive action.

as far as the loot goes, its all junk imo. prices have crashed, it is almost always better to go run another mission than stick around collecting loot. If you know you are getting an implant like in dread pirate then yea sure go for it, especially since it is more or less already in tractor beam range. I don't shoot zor enough to know if he is worth looting, every time I do I seem to come up with nothing great.

Missions give crap loot,
unless you have crap skills, then a lot of its actually useful for a couple of weeks but it's not worth picking up to sell,
Unless you're struggling to complete them quickly or have an alt to clean up after you the time would be better spent running another mission.

Some people claim you can still catch scarlet in a missile/drone boat by scramming her. Never tried it myself to say for sure.

Also remember some of the storylines award implants. usually the generic 20 mill ones but I have occasionally got 160 mill plus mining implants from a storyline.

Pointing her would work in the past for room 2. I use to refit an old Tengu of mine with a faction scram and HAMs for just such an occasion back in the day, though that was before she started reappearing in the next room afterwards. Damn, come to think of it, maybe I should try that next time. Not sure how long she will wait for me to get into range to point her, though; not quite sure, but I think she only lingers in room 2 for a bit longer than room 3 if she's not engaged. Might need to try it with a disruptor since Marauders are not really know for their running speed. Now, I wish I had a Barghest.

Ditto on the storyline imps. Just make sure you have some kernite or omber stashes (the regular variants, not the 5/10% yield ones) laying around just in case.

Yeah, unless it's something like the "Enemies" series you'll be lucky to get 10-15m ISK in loot for missions like Damsel, Beserk, etc. For those I just drop a MTU, bookmark it and come back when I've got a half dozen to collect. Zor consistently pays off for me. I get the implant at least once a week - although I am running 3 agents at a time.

Use a Marauder and make the enemy watch you loot and salvage their dead friends.

It would be more entertaining if you could adorn your hull with the rotting corpses.

I was running L3's last night trying to find a decent mining hole. I use a shield-tanked Ishtar (Yes, I know they're nerfed but they still work). I clear the zone, drop an MTU, unleash the salvage drones, and go get coffee.

I was surprised to find that while it took me about four missions to find a good roid lineup, I'd collected four +3 implants, two on the last mission.

You will get mostly junk from missions, don't waste your time on it unless its BS loot. Since they nerved it it's really not worth the time.... at least not worth it to grab your Noctis afterwards.

Except for the people claiming to make over 100 million an hour per account, its worth it to loot in level 4 missions. That's about the limit of the good missions after killing everything and looting it. Some factions drop more than others as mentioned.

Here's a few I did last week (amount of slavage & drops):
Serpentis Extravaganza 8 mil
Dread Pirate 22 mil
Gone Berserk 14 mil
Vengeance 13 mil
The Blockade 10 mil

Those literally take a few minutes per room in a decent noctis. Marauders are also nice for the job, but will slow down your bounty ticks a bit.
