Hello I know that is not a really easy question or maybe it is, I don't know.

Can some of the old Vets tell which hulls are most common in FW? I know this will always change depending on game balance changes. But usually if your doing a lot of PVP what are the most common ship hulls that you see.

Sofar what I can tell when I lookup streams.

T1
Tristan
Kestrel
Breacher

Faction
Navy Comet
Navy Clicer

And I have another question. If I want to do some FW what are the "easy to master ships" that have low skill requirements and are easy to fly.

I'm new to PVP and just want to search for some other stuff to do.

Didn't the Hookbill just get a DPS buff?

All of the following are suitable:

Executioner
Tormentor
Slasher
Breacher
Incursus
Tristan
Kestrel
Merlin
Condor

However you can have a great deal of fun setting up someone in one of the other frogs too (or mining ships/industrials).

No! No! No!

Bad advice! Farmers are cancer! That and now with the Navy Maulus running around they are kinda dying off unless they are in bigger ships with more Low Slots! Twisted

Punisher is the easiest ship to skill into. no drones, can fit any guns you have trained so if you don't plan sticking with amarr you don't have to train lasers, good dps even with low skills because not relying on a hull bonus, good tank because of all the low slots, generous fitting resources and a lot of lows that can be used for fitting mods or zero cost mods like resistance plating nano's and overdrives for players with bad fitting skills.

NMI don't counter blueballing.
They promote it.

There used to be AFK farmers.
Now there are farmers that will avoid everything that's not a probe or a magnate.

It really does vary, in my corp it is tristan, kestrel, firetail, malediction, talwar, thrasher, and caracal. In the groups that we fight such as dng those ships arent that popular except the tristan and firetail. I would say thier common ships would be punisher, slicer, retribution, coercer, dragoon, omen, maller and aug navy issues. So very different ships even in the same wz.

It also matters a great deal what sort of pvp you are looking for, for example we use talwars all the time but no way are you gonna find me solo in a Talwar, if I am solo I am probably gonna be in a firetail. And if I am "solo" in a malediction chances are I am tackle for a fleet.

Daredevil, the comet's bigger, more deadly brother... And first in line for the throne. (See ingame bio)

I also rather enjoyed flying the Heretic recently, though neither are low SP. Low SP I'd read what the guy above said about the punisher.

How do you fly a DD anyways?

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

The thing with ships like the DAREDEVIL, is that it's easy to lose if you don't fly to it's strengths.

It has massive damage, but the tank is kind of mediocre. So what happens is if you put it in situations where it is a straight up brawl you're likely going to lose it, depending on what you are fighting and how many friends they have warping in.

What the DAREDEVIL also has, however, is SPEED and RANGE CONTROL.

This ******* ship is so goddamn fast, it makes me wish I trained Min / Gal frigate to level 5. It's faster than most Interceptors.

90% web means you can range control virtually anything if you pilot it properly.

It's a solo-pwn-mobile if ever there was such a thing.

So you fly it like a ******* DAREDEVIL

They're something of a Marco YOLO machine. You don't get many mistakes in one before you die.

I like DDs, but have recently fallen in love with the Dramiel.

None of ships mentioned is "easy to master ships" that have low skill requirements and are easy to fly. Except Navy Slicer, which is one trick pony (kite or die)

You can try something with huge tank (so you will not die instantly, but have at least 5-10 seconds of engagement, when you actually can do something).

How about passive shield tanked Merlin?

Punisher could be other choice, if it would ever get 3-d middle slot. With its actual layout you will always miss webifier.

I often fly brick tanked tristans, but if you are not that low in ISK you can try any navy frigate - they all have better tank, then any other T1 frigate. Tristan is so popular becuase it can be fitted as brawler, scram kiting or disruptor kiting ship. Or vimpire. Shield, armor or even hull tanked. No wonder there is so many tristans in FW. No other T1 frigate will give you that number of combat combinations. I dare to say that even with Navy comet in mind ;) All that also means it is not easy to skill and to fly.

Breacher with ancillary shield booster can be very interesting option as well. Unlike other active tanking frigates it will survive some vimpire actions. Other active tanking frigates, like Incursus, is not easy to fly, IMHO.
