So, I've been playing this game for about a week now, and I was wanting to upgrade my ship to a Retriever, but it was saying I can't be in a trial account. Fair enough. I like the game enough that I bought a 3 month subscription, but it still says I am in trial account and can't learn Mining Barge. I am baffled at this. I have restarted the game several times and it has been several hours. In my account management it says I have a 3 month subscription and no longer says I am in a trial account, but in the game itself it says I am in one. How do I get out of a trial account? Thanks

im sorry i dont know about that.

but perhaps a procurer would be better than a retriever. the retreiver dies really fast, the procurer does not.

That disclaimer is always included in the ship description, whether or not you are on a trial account yourself. You should be able to assemble and fly it now, assuming you have the appropriate skills. If not, you'll want to file a bug report.

Yeah, the skills and ships always say "Cannot be trained by a trial account." even for us veteran players. They just mean "a trial account" not YOU specifically; if you're no longer a trial you can train the skill, then buy and assemble the ship, and fly it.

"You must be this tall to ride."

It doesn't mean YOU are too short. Blink

If you are not a trial, then ignore it.

Good comparison.

OP - if you have your 3-month sub, you're fine. You can train the skill anytime after you meet the pre-requisites.

You might need to log out and back in to make your subscription apply. Especially if you were logged in when you subscribed.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Actually, I am too short.

To the OP, if it makes you feel any better, this has confused thousands of new players over the years (including me when I was, for want of a better word, "new") - you are not alone.

+2 on the procurer, and dont forget to tank. Anti-tanked procurer is still as bad as a retreiver.

Best example ever.

@OP:

The "Can not be trained on trial accounts" is just a plain text description. So, no matter who looks at such a thing, it will show.

If you are a paid account, you can ignore it and just train that skill / fly that ship.

One possibility that has not been mentioned. Even though you subscribed that may not apply until your trial account time has expired. I am just guessing here but it seems to make sense if you have paid for a 3 month subscription and you still cannot train a skill.

It has not been mentioned because it is not a possibility.

The OP's question has already been adequately answered.
