I made a post and it never posted after I hit the button so please excuse if this is a double post.

I googled this and see its an old issue with no real solutions.

Been playing a couple weeks with no issues. Suddenly last night I log in and have this loud buzzing. Nothing makes it go away short of logging out.

I have a Soundblaster Z card with KRK Rokit 6's for speakers.

I run my monitor at 144hz on a EVGA GTX970 FTW+ that is not currently overclocked.

Here's the crazy part...

I also have a set of 250 ohm Beyerdynamics DT 880's on a Schiit Vali tube amp that are plugged in right next to my Rokits on the same sound card. These headphones have no buzz....

So clearly it's an Eve only problem but why no buzz through my headphones??

eve has no audio settings except volume

by settings I mean hardware selection or drivers, at all.

it uses the "default playback device" from windows control panel (or whatever on mac) that's why the buzzing is only on one device

so start there and look which is the playback devices, fiddle a bit in these settings (eve closed, and must be restarted after each changes)

look into the KHz setup, or some virtual devices.. any drivers/software/mixer changes? (i see asio problem most likely)

try routing sound to the headphone to check if the buzz is still there

also try to use the simple Realtek(or whatever) soundcard that should be present on each mother board of the world since ever

what happens if you disable sound from ingame option and restart the game?

and finally create a assistance ticket but that will be a fun thing to debug with support I guess

nice setup BTW, I need to get myself some rotkit for monitor

Fixed. Ten hours of troubleshooting. It was a ground issue that was only appearing with Eve. When my video card would spin up it would create a buzz through my sound card. Plugging my speakers into an outlet on a different circuit fixed it. Very odd for this to be Eve specific and start in the middle of the night for no reason...

My old speakers, while good speakers, weren't sensitive to pick it up. Thanks for the help!

Do you play other DX 3D game? with real 3d graphic?

this wiill suck power on some 12v Connectors that are not used by the videocard unless much processing is needed

combine that with a possible shielding issue and possible hertz interference between mass and screen and anything...

well, glad you fixed it.
