Why is there no official eve app available nor in development? Relying on community to produce this no longer works specially for android users. I sincerely hope that CCP with all their expertise and knowledge would be able to pull this little project off. Aura and Eve droid are obsolete and evanova lacks fitting features. Neocom is ok but it is only available on
ios.

Please there is alot of potential on making app for this game and im sure alot of people would be willing to pay for it if its well made.

There are several android eve apps. What no longer works?

I'm still using Aura. It is in need of an update for new skills and stuff, but otherwise still functions fine.

About all I use it for:
* Skill Completion notification.
* EVE-Mail notification.
* Market order monitoring.

And to answer your other question, because they want us to log into EVE with the client to fly around in space and PVP, rather than just set skills and manage market orders from a phone app.

Yea, I was thinking of Aura and Evanova, which this thread just prompted me to reinstall, since I'm back in EVE mode again. And that is exactly what I use my apps for, now that I've active market orders again :)

I didnt imply that we should have access to market order modification or control everything through an app. Im just saying that since its 2015 its fair to request for an official app where we could monitor and use fitting tool without having to use eft on a comp. When im on pc i want to play not stay on eft for hours.

There are webistes like:
https://null-sec.com/

and

https://o.smium.org/

That have online fitting tools.

There is also a long list of 3rd party apps out there

I'm not sure why you feel that it has to be developed offically by CCP. CCP does everything that they can to encourage players to make and sell apps for the game. I'm much rather have a game company that opens their API up to 3rd party developers than locking everything down and making you come to them for everything.

If CCP were to make an app their venture capitalist would not allow them to have all the info opened up to direct competition so then the APIs would get locked down and you'd need to go to CCP for everything wich IMHO would be bad. I think things are great as they are now. I don't think an offical app from CCP would be a step forward.

I would like an EVE app developed by Chribba, closest thing to official you could get.

Yes, an app that gives instant updates to the price fluctuations of veldspar would make a huge impact on the eve community.

Why have an app when you can do that all in game?

You said you dont want to waste time on EFT when at the PC, why would that be so different with an app.
Why not just try it out in game where it all happens instead of "EFT warrior" a fit

Also, CCP supplies us witb the sandbox, and let us play in any way we want and invent the tools we want.
This includes player made goodies (be it apps, websites, 3rd party tools, etc).

If only CCP would allow for those who write these programs to charge for their efforts who knows what we might get. As it is the apps and web sites we have are offered free of charge by players who simply want to give backl to the community, or to share something they developed for themselves.
