Hey, o7.

So im having this weird issue fitting my proteus, and wanted to know if there is just a bug or something that is causing this issue.
So the issue being when i go into EFT(i use it from time to time) or my iphone app neocom* i have found that this time around its giving me stats that aren't adding up in game..
these programs and application never fail me, they have my pre made up to date API's, and have never been wrong in the past,
but this time around fitting my proteus it is.

using same fit, same skills and all the planets aligned everything is identical in game and out. yet fitting tool/app is telling me i should have 190k ehp, but in game im seeing 116k ehp.
is it a glitch with subsystems ?
one thing to point out.....in game and out of game im seeing the same resistance levels and raw hitpoints being equal to eachother ...but the total ehp is off in game and out. weird.

every other fit is extremely accurate .

if anyone of you guys can help give me some peace of mind would be much appreciated.

EFT& Pyfa apply 25% of all damages

Where in game (eve) applies 100% damage of your lowest resit :)

Which part? It's actually how it works.

EHP is calculated as (raw hp)/(1-resistance). In game, the lowest resistance is chosen and EHP is based on that value. It represents a best-case scenario. 3rd party tools by default use an average of EHP between damage types, modeling 25% of each incoming. 3rd party tools also have weighted average options for different scenarios. In EFT, for instance, you can customize profiles. A fairly average block from my config file looks like this:

DamageProfile=Gurista,0,570,3504,0
DamageProfile=Angel,480,0,719,3058
DamageProfile=Sansha,1945,1598,0,0
DamageProfile=Serpentis,0,1627,1320,0
DamageProfile=Blood raider,613,570,60,0
DamageProfile=Gallente federation,25,781,1127,0
DamageProfile=Minmatar republic,615,310,815,1633
DamageProfile=Amarr empire,1204,1349,0,0
DamageProfile=Caldari state,0,795,944,0
DamageProfile=EoM,0,618,1718,0
DamageProfile=Mercenaries,90,634,424,108
DamageProfile=Rogue Drones,86,91,281,964
DamageProfile=EM,1,0,0,0
DamageProfile=therm,0,1,0,0
DamageProfile=kin,0,0,1,0
DamageProfile=exp,0,0,0,1

EFT and Pyfa - assumes by default that the incoming damage type is 25/25/25/25 (25% EM, 25% Thermal, 25% Kinetic, 25% Explosive) and so calculate your EHP off that

In game it assumes the incoming damage is that of your lowest resist for example a proteus with an assumed weakness to explosive damage, so in game it is telling you what your EHP is if something was ONLY shooting explosive damage.

that is why there is a difference in numbers between EFT/Pyfa and In game. if you created an incoming damage profile in EFT/Pyfa that matched only your lowest resist (once again with a proteus assuming explosive) then you should see the numbers add up.

TL;DR

EFT - even split of damage types to Calculate EHP
In Game - Only using lowest resistance to calculate EHP
