Hello

I love multi account playing. I am having a hard time staying online with three active players. I bought a new machine just so I can continue to play EVE the way I want too. My system is more then able to run EVE. My question is Direct X 9 verses 11. Does direct x 9 run thinner the direct X 11?? ( My new machine plays direct X 11 and is windows 10! The damn thing runs everything else well! It is quad core with 8 MB of ram. R7 graffics damn I should be good! )

Suggestion. I am puzzled why eve does not have a multi account download launcher. Does anyone what the heck safe mode is? What does it do ???? I hate the idea of running only two accounts, but it is starting to look that way. The eve web page suggest re write code program instructions? Way above my skill set. Unrealistic EVE to expect players to do computer programming.

I am puzzled how for years I could run two accounts, TS and watch video on my old vista machine and third account on a 6 year lap top with no issues. Now I am not enjoying EVE as much getting the dreaded " SOCKET CLOSED message! "

hi

I just want to start by : I don't understand what you want to ask us, reread your post, you don't ask a question, or explain what is you problem in the first place

so I will assume : you have a new computer and you don't have the performance you were expecting, and you have issue with multiple account. but I have no idea what the 2nd and 3rd paragraph were about...

could you provide specific?
which cpu (quad core?? intel, amd, model)
which R7?
are your drivers up to date?
(I guess you could run a DXDIAG, save the report and paste it on pastebin.com)

now back to your questions, DX9 and DX11 : DX11 allows the use of some dynamic lighting and enhance graphic quality with details, shadow, and stuff. it should all be deferred to the GPU so if your GPU is not DX11 compatible the game will not try to activate these enhancements. but it if your card is DX11 compatible, it should not have performance impact.

on multiple account... that's where I'm lost :
Eve is made to run multiple clients, lots of client, on the same computer (hell I run only "3" and I know ppl running 7 and more)
you do that by launching eve from the launcher
you can only do one client per ACCOUNT meaning if you have 3 toon on 1 account, you can't play the 3 toons at the same time

finally you talk about socket closed... was that your issue? socket closed = network issue. nothing to do with multiple client. socket closed is a problem where your internet connection, or your wifi?, can't keep a stable connection with eve.
about now there are no massive socket error reported for a few days, but there are issue with client download. totally unrelated servers so

I see you are also posting in another thread about client donwload issues, saying you got the same problem...

so what is your issue ... precisely.

I was having trouble with running multiple accounts of EVE on my system. Here is the easy solution that I found.
Go to google and type in EVE beta launcher.
Go to Beta launcher and download it.
After downloading it you check the following boxes.
Download everything!
Run Direct x 9 !!!!! ( Uses less data then 11. )
In a little box there is a box called verify. Keep clicking the S.O.B until you get zero. I had to verify 12 times until all empty and duplicate files were eliminated.
Now here is the hardest part. Log in the toons you want . Log in your accounts you want with their passwords of course. You need to attach the two accounts you want to launch.
I set the launcher to wait 20 seconds to launch the second toon.
Enjoy EVE again by not crashing every 40 minutes. I have no idea if this beta launcher is better for one toon/account. I do have third account I run on another machine that I log onto with the traditional launcher. Funny the increased stability on machine A somehow has helped the stability on machine B. ( No clue why this has happened? )
I run two eithernet cables for the two machines. I turned off the search for wireless connections box on my machines. I have been told your machine continues to adjust as mobile hot spots come in out of range. Hence if your machine keeps having to download that data it clogs your machine.
Now I will be the first to admit I am no computer guy. But I was frustrated at all the techno jargan being tossed around and insults being thrown around. I really hope this helps. It is my intention to turn stuff back on and see what crashes eve and what I can run and be STABLE!!!!!!
