Hey Guys,
Not sure what is going on. I havent used my WH for awhile. When I logged in there were lots of Signatures, the usual stuff plus just the two statics which A239 (Low-Sec) and D382 (C2).

It appears that because I now have been using my hole, all I get are new WH connections being spawned.Surely things cant be that bad that in order to get content people are being connected easily. Big smile

So I now have 10 signatures and there are seven WH connections. I moved to a WH for the peace and quiet and it is harder to find with just a couple of connections, making it more to my solo liking.

As I said, please explain how this mechanic works. And I know someone will suggest HTFU and roll to close. Yes option but hoping to understand this a bit more if possible. Feels like might as well live in K-Space.

Cheers

It's a kind of magic.

Guess what another Signature has appeared. And you guessed it another WH.
Its like CCP has created this magic that works along the lines like...

Hey, they are active in that WH, oh and someone else is active over here so lets join to see if PVP content can created because this game is meant to be played with others not alone. What?

Will see what Citadels will bring and looks like time to pack up and move out, try to find a quiet Null-Sec spot. At least there is just one gate to watch and the occasional Signature. Roll

It's random.

Some days you get a ton of extra connections, other days just your statics.

Sounds like you're just having a bad run. Or a good run, depending on outlook.

In other words it's saucery.

Yeah understand the randomness. Been in a WH for a couple of years now and it seems like only recently that connections have increassed. Im sure that magic has been slipped in during a patch. I think its silly but hey, just keep on truckin

Not really, you might have a small gang of blops on your head while hauling your ice with an Orca :D

Regarding WHs, you are never safe there. Often you get more sigs than just the statics, and if you happen to live in a C1 to C3 you will have lots of visitors. And, logically, if you like playing solo (why?) you can't live in a C4 to C6.

So, expect visitors and content, enjoy the game !

Usually we just get our static connection (C5-C5)

But last week we had 7 connections. all ranging from null, lows, high secs, low class WH's

As said. Kinda random.

get a wh with only one static, is your best bet.
higher class wh there are some effects that no one wants... so you might be in peace.
or, if you want to do your indy stuff, join or rent a moon to some corp.

It used to be that incoming connections had to be scanned/opened from their origin system before they would spawn on the exit side. However, a big while ago that was changed. After a certain time unopened wormholes will have a chance of opening on their own.

To expand upon that, a hole will only open when it is warped to after ~4 hours (Or 16 hours left on the timer. It is kind of confusing the way they word it). Before Hyperion, the hole opened the instant the wormhole was warped to. If you have a wormhole, but you don't warp to it, it will not open after a certain time.

"Even with the timer, K162s will never appear unless someone has initiated warp to the other side.
If you don't warp to a wormhole at all, the behavior of that wormhole will not be changing in Hyperion." As said by CCP Fozzie.
