Look, I know the new Citadels coming out will make POS's obsolete, but in the mean time, why can't a Capsuleer "steal" an Abandoned POS? Say it's been offline for more than 30 days, why can't we use the Entosis module to Unachor it, transfer ownership, or any other way to "own" it? I imagine this has been brought up before but I have been unable to find that thread.

No, it requires development resources.

Would you expect CCP to commit resources to a system that is slated for removal?

Also, legacy code. Devs have repeatedly written about how fragile the code for POS are. Even just doing fuel blocks was a Herculean effort.

It's a subject that has been brought many times and due to the lack of any response from CCP I would assume that they are happy with the current situation where you need to declare a war on the pos owner to remove it.
