Looking to get into FW, starting ship?

I fly mainly Caldari and Minmatar and no I can't fly the Manticore yet (yes I'm training for it). Is there any ship fit I can use? Best I can fly is up to Caldari BS (though I'd prefer nothing over a BC for now) and Minmatar BC's.

FW complexes have ship restrictions. Literally any combat ship is fine.

I hear Kestrels are pretty good and from what i gather easy to use. do a youtube search for 'eve is easy' and have a look at some of Suitonias videos, probably be a good place to start.

but maybe we need to know whether you are talking about PvP or just using Faction Warfare to farm :S

Manticore in FW? That's a thing?? Learn something new everyday.

You are new, go with T1 frigates. You can enter novice FW sites that way.

The eveiseasy Suitonia's Kestrel is indeed a good starter. Passive tank missile boat, way less stuff to pay attention to, like rep cycles or turret mechanics. Let's you understand basic PvP/FW mechanics first without worrying about all the modules at your disposal. Buy 10 kestrels+ Suitonia's fitting and just go try it out and have fun with it.

If you want to train into the top tier, go for the Tormentor. Beam or pulse it wrecks stuff.

If you want to stick to Caldari / Minnies, you could go for a Merlin. It's really dumb, you can go Neutron and try to blap people before they kite you, or double web, railguns and armor tank. Slasher is really super fun to fly but requires good fitting skills and is not so easy to fly.
