I've already submitted my support ticket but I've been playing the game since 2013 and never had the slightest margin of errors, I guess I am quite lucky there. But this evening after completing a 5/10 DED site I docked up and repiared, got ready to undock to scoop the loot from a wreck when I was presented with a box stating:

FATAL!

Your character has repeatedly failed to load on the server, this may be a problem with your application, please file a support ticket. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I have no idea what this means, has anyone else encountered something like this? I cannot log in anymore despite router reboots, PC reboots and game reboots. This is my only toon, with so many hours invested for years I cannot accept my toon maybe screwed. :c I can float about in space but I cannot move or interact with the game by any means, but I can still chat, see locals coming and going etc.

Is this something I can possibly fix?

that's not pretty, let's try a few things :

first clear the cache, from in game, no need to select a char : ESC, Reset Settings, Clear all cache files

if you are using old launcher :
lookup "rescache.exe" in the eve folder and run it

if you are using beta launcher
go in settings, general, sharedcache settings, in the popup windows : click verify


verify or rescache will look for corrupted thing
clear cache will remove faulty files that could mess up stuff

if both fails to fix the game, then the problem is probably server side, something must be fixed by a GM, and you already made a ticket so all is good, a GM will take care of it.
(update your ticket with the result of rescache / verify and you clearing the cache)

Thank you have been most helpful, doing all this did not fix the issue and I've updated my ticket.

Just to clarify, this is what I'm presented with trying to log in to my main toon. I can't even dock and that Apocalypse is badly damaged after that DED.
