Best way to (try and) stop suicide gankers: Fit shield RR to a Scorp, fit a mix of Minmatar/Gallente racial jammers to the same scorp.

Have said scorp constantly cycle reps on your Hulk. When gankers appear, jam them. The combination of ECM + RR can increase the survivability of the Hulks.

Of course, it still won't save you from an alpha strike. The true best way to avoid being ganked is to just watch d-scan and get out if you see obvious gank ships.

I have been running mining missions in battleships, and only once did somebody else jump in to my location, and my battleship turned tail and ran while I left my Hobgoblin's behind to cover my arse as I retreated. I have been able to infer that it was a 'Ninja' there to 'flip my cans'. But since I don't jetcan mine, all there was for him was my mission rat wrecks to scavenge.

The only Hulk I still run is my Ice Miner, since I have not yet figured a way to Ice Mine from a Battleship, and it only comes out to run Ice Mining Missions about once a day.

So all in all I feel rather safe with the precautions I take.

And the small percentage of chance that somebody wants me bad enough, well they will obviously get me, so my ships are insured for the maximum value.

And honestly, I would feel rather made welcome in the game if somebody actually cared enough to hunt me down and kill me despite of how cautious a player I am.

To humour OP:

RR pilgrim using short range D-scan or falcon with short range D.
Uncloak when gank-ships en-route, activate sebo, possible win?

Hulk alive at the end is the only way to win. Only way to keep it alive is RR, even then it's doubtful though.
Another option is to hold alpha sebo snipers off-grid and get the hulk to short d-scan, alligned and warp in (if faster than cloaking delay) when they show up? 1 shotting gankers might work?

I duno, trying to help you here OP... but it's hard.

As for a win / not a win: if both parties are prepared to die then the one who gets the KM wins, regardless of the ship they're in.
